Welpen Yorkie

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

The adorable puppies will be 4 months old soon. The father is a purebred Yorkshire Terrier, the mother a Biewer Yorkie mix. There is 1 girl and 4 boys, they were born in April. All are open-minded, but very different in nature and appearance. The young puppies are starting to explore their new surroundings with a harness and leash here with us, it's fun and exciting. Sufficient patience and commitment for a young dog must be present. In addition to short walks, they should also be mentally stimulated and of course educated, because even a small dog should behave well in public. They are curious, playful, friendly, Pico keeps himself somewhat back at first. They are very affectionate and also teachable, also definitely good to educate if you take the time for it. If you are interested in the dwarfs please make an appointment to get to know them and report in advance about the living environment that the puppies will expect from you.

About Welpen Yorkie

What life with Welpen Yorkie looks like

Welpen Yorkie is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Hof in Hof.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Welpen Yorkie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Welpen Yorkie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Hof handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Welpen Yorkie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Welpen Yorkie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Hof will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Welpen Yorkie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Welpen Yorkie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Hof early rather than rehoming privately; they know Welpen Yorkie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
