adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Wenzo has found a home! His story: Wenzo is a small cuddle package, with his caramel plush fur and the goldenest cheeks that seem to be made just for snuggling. His button eyes speak volumes – and ask: "Snack? Or maybe a cuddle?" Who looks into this face has no chance. Zap, heart stolen. Forever. Wenz's story begins anything but warm and fuzzy: he and his siblings were dumped and simply thrown into a ravine. But the little fighter decided that his life has a lot more to offer than fear. Thanks to brave helpers, he fought his way back to life and found new courage. Now he is ready to find a home where he will be safe forever. Wenzo is friendly, calm, and a real teddy bear. He is no whirlwind, more of a "I sit here and look cute" type. Cuddle? Yes, please. Adventures? Gladly. And if you let him, he will snuggle into your arms and pretend that this world has always been perfect. He gets along wonderfully with dogs – he is the gentle teddy bear who doesn't harm anyone. Cats he still doesn't know. People he loves, even though sometimes he looks a little hesitant before he starts to trot off. Like every puppy, Wenzo also needs guidance: leash training, going potty outside, finding breaks, controlling puppy nonsense, and later mastering puberty. But with loving guidance, patience, and ideally, a positively working dog training class, he will surely become the world's best companion (he's already the world's sweetest, of course). Wenzo is currently about 2.5 months old, weighs around 3 kg, and is expected to be medium-sized. By the end of December, he can move into his new home. Then he will be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas, and have his EU pet passport in his paw. For an adoption fee of 500 euros and after a positive readiness for a bit of fluff, a lot of love, and the sweetest cheeks in the world? Then Wenzo is waiting for you! Many thanks Ker W.! You gave Wenzo his identity! A big thank you goes to the Clever Homes House Management UG! You support Wenzo with a monthly sponsorship! As of: 07.12.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank Ker W.! Du hast Wenzo seine Identität geschenkt! Ein großer Dank geht an die Clever Homes Hausverwaltung UG! Ihr unterstützt Wenzo mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft! Stand: 07.12.2025

About Wenzo

What life with Wenzo looks like

Wenzo is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wenzo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wenzo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wenzo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wenzo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wenzo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wenzo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wenzo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
