Apparently, the pretty white cat wandered in. We don't know if that's true. Or if she was simply unwanted due to her illnesses: severely underweight, squamous cell carcinoma (ear cancer in both ears), and really bad diarrhea - and she was pregnant! Whisper was taken in as a foster cat for the our shelter and gave birth to four adorable kittens on August 16, 2025. Unfortunately, the severe diarrhea could only be treated to a limited extent because of the babies and milk, etc. The team at the animal shelter had to clean out the family room every day: blankets, litter boxes, etc., and then clean the room: Whisper had spread the liquid, stinky diarrhea all over the room; she had no control over her sphincter muscle, and everything she ate went right back out. Even the babies were partially covered in diarrhea and needed to be cleaned. In collaboration with the veterinary clinic and our shelter, we tried everything humanly possible to help her and get the diarrhea under control – unfortunately, in vain. After the kittens were weaned, we had to let Whisper cross the rainbow bridge. We are so sorry, little Whisper, we couldn't restore your health. Rest in peace :-( Your babies found wonderful homes, at least we could do that for you.

Angeblich ist die hübsche weiße Katze zugelaufen. Wir wissen nicht, ob das so stimmt. Oder ob sie einfach nicht mehr erwünscht war wegen ihrer Krankheiten: total mager, Plattenepithelkarzinom (Ohrenkrebs an beiden Ohren) und richtig schlimmer Durchfall - und trächtig! Whisper wurde als Pflegekatze für das Tierheim Benk aufgenommen und brachte am 16. August 2025 vier süße Katzenkinder zur Welt. Der schlimme Durchfall durfte leider nur eingeschränkt behandelt werden wegen der Babys/Milch usw. Das Team am Tierschutzhof musste jeden Tag das Familienzimmer komplett ausräumen: Decken, Katzenklos usw. und dann das Zimmer putzen: Whisper hatte den flüssigen, stinkenden Durchfall wirklich in jeden Winkel des Zimmers verteilt, sie hatte überhaupt keine Gewalt über den Schließmuskel, alles was sie futterte, ging sofort wieder raus. Auch die Babys waren z.T. mit Durchfallkot verschmutzt und mussten geputzt werden. In Zusammenarbeit mit Tierklinik und Tierheim haben wir alles menschenmögliche versucht, ihr zu helfen und den Durchfall in den Griff zu bekommen - leider vergeblich. Nach dem Absetzen der Babys mussten wir Whisper über die Regenbogenbrücke gehen lassen. Es tut uns so leid, wir konnten dir deine Gesundheit leider nicht wiedergeben, kleine Whisper! Ruhe in Frieden :-( Deine Babys haben wunderbare Zuhause gefunden, zumindest das konnten wir für dich tun.
