Having spent her entire life by one person’s side, she suddenly lost both her home and her familiar world. Since then, the shelter has been Wilma’s home. The beginning wasn’t easy. The big change caused her stress and fear, but over time, Wilma regained her confidence. In fact, she’s still the same home-loving cat she always was. She loves closeness, comes to ask for petting on her own, snuggles into laps, and enjoys peaceful moments by her human’s side. Wilma has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism—a condition of overactive thyroid—so she requires daily care and medication. For an elderly animal or one with health concerns, a new home isn’t always the best solution; sometimes, the right place is an environment where they’re already comfortable. That’s why Wilma is no longer looking for her forever home. She’ll stay as a permanent resident at the shelter—a safe haven where she can be cared for and loved for as long as her days last.
