adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Left behind in a forest, Wolf had every reason not to have any more enthusiasm for humans or to trust them. But Wolf never gave up! He is a sweet guy who wants to spend his life with humans. With his approximate 30 cm height and 15 kg weight, he is an absolute hit for all who are looking for a smaller companion. Currently, he lives in his foster home in 18469 Velgast and is looking forward to visitors. He is already settling in well and is full of fun, joy, and curiosity. He is house-trained, gets along with all his fellow animals, and could cuddle for hours…! Wolf is a little treasure that you simply have to love. Wolf is approximately 6.5 years old and has thus left the wild years behind and has the best years ahead. He is compatible with both dogs and cats, so he would also fit well into a household where various animals live. When he explores his surroundings with his short legs, it is a true joy to watch him. With the large dark spot on his hind leg and the sweet "sunspots" on his nose, the little gentleman is not only character-wise but also physically very handsome and cute. Wolf is a lively male dog in his prime years and is characteristically more quiet and relaxed. We wish for people who like to go on adventures in nature with him and discover the world with him, but do not want to run a marathon with him. If you can imagine giving Wolf a well-deserved warm dog bed, then feel free to contact us. Wolf can be neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas with an EU pet passport to move into his new home. He will be matched with a positive Danke, dear Anna. Thanks to your name sponsorship, Wolf now has the chance to find his family. As of: 10.05.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 10.05.2026

About Wolf

What life with Wolf looks like

Wolf is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Wolf, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Wolf?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Wolf on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Wolf if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Wolf already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Wolf isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Wolf and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
