Woody was found on Ovručská street in Košice, the district of Dargovských hrdinov. Woody is a very friendly and affectionate dog who loves human proximity and enjoys the company of people. He quickly bonds with his person and his presence is very important to him. Handling is completely trouble-free - he is calm, friendly and cooperates well. Gets along well with other dogs and female dogs, their presence pleases him and he enjoys being in the company of canine friends. Toys are not very interesting to him, he much more enjoys quiet walks and time spent with his people. He is an appropriately active dog who can adapt to the pace of his family. He behaves properly during the day, does not destroy things and has good hygiene habits with regular walks. HEALTH STATUS: Woody has undergone an ophthalmological examination, which confirmed blindness caused by degenerative changes in the retina (PRA - progressive retinal atrophy). This is a disease in which the cells of the retina gradually die and vision is lost. There is currently no treatment for this condition. However, Woody is very well adapted to his condition. He navigates without major problems in a familiar environment and can function as a normal dog. With a stable environment, patient approach and loving guidance, he can lead a full and happy life. Woody is looking for a home exclusively indoors - in an apartment or house with complete access inside. He needs a family that will provide him with a safe and stable environment. Due to his nature and trouble-free handling, he may also be suitable for a family with children. Woody is a dog who deserves a family where he will be loved and accepted for who he is. Even though he cannot see, his world can be full of safety, kindness and shared moments with people who give him a chance for a beautiful life.

Woody sa našiel na ulici Ovručská v Košiciach, mestská časť Dargovských hrdinov. Woody je VEĽMI kontaktný a milý psík, ktorý má rád blízkosť človeka a spoločnosť ľudí si veľmi užíva. Rýchlo sa naviaže na svojho človeka a jeho prítomnosť je pre neho dôležitá. Manipulácia je úplne bezproblémová – je pokojný, priateľský a dobre spolupracuje. So psami aj fenkami vychádza bez problémov, ich prítomnosť ho teší a rád sa pohybuje v spoločnosti psích kamarátov. Hračky ho veľmi nezaujímajú, oveľa viac si užíva pokojné prechádzky a spoločný čas so svojimi ľuďmi. Je primerane aktívny psík, ktorý sa dokáže prispôsobiť tempu svojej rodiny. Dnu sa správa slušne, veci neničí a hygienické návyky má pri pravidelnom venčení. ZDRAVOTNÝ STAV: Woody absolvoval oftalmologické vyšetrenie, pri ktorom bola potvrdená slepota spôsobená degeneratívnymi zmenami na sietnici (PRA – progresívna atrofia sietnice). Ide o ochorenie, pri ktorom postupne dochádza k zániku buniek sietnice a strate zraku. V súčasnosti na tento stav neexistuje liečba. Woody je však na svoj stav veľmi dobre prispôsobený. V známom prostredí sa orientuje bez väčších problémov a dokáže fungovať ako bežný psík. Pri stabilnom prostredí, trpezlivom prístupe a láskavom vedení môže viesť plnohodnotný a spokojný život. Woody hľadá domov výhradne vo vnútri – v byte alebo v dome s úplným prístupom dovnútra. Potrebuje rodinu, ktorá mu poskytne bezpečné a stabilné prostredie. Vzhľadom na jeho povahu a bezproblémovú manipuláciu môže byť vhodný aj do rodiny s deťmi. Woody je psík, ktorý si zaslúži rodinu, kde bude milovaný a prijatý taký, aký je. Aj keď nevidí, jeho svet môže byť plný bezpečia, láskavosti a spoločných chvíľ s ľuďmi, ktorí mu dajú šancu na krásny život.
