Adopt Yallah

Mixed Breed · Female · Senior · 16 years

Yallah (Reserved) about 16 years old, loving & cuddly – if she likes it, needs free access (protected garden or terrace) Hello, I am Yallah. An older female cat who wishes for a quiet home with loving people. I enjoy cuddles, but I decide when it's enough. Then I like to retreat to enjoy my peace. In between, I especially love being brushed and can never get enough of it! And when I want something (usually food), I make it clear with my charming meow. Also, my love for food has an advantage, as it makes taking my thyroid pill very easy. Although I am already 16 years old and sleep a lot, I am still quick on my feet when it matters. However, I do not want to share my home with other cats; I prefer to be the only princess. It is also very important for my new home to have the possibility of free access; I simply need fresh air and sunshine. A protected garden or a secure terrace where I can lounge is an absolute must for me. If you would like to meet me, please contact Kathrin Schoof at 04298 46 777 24 or send a self-disclosure form!. This cat needs outdoor access.

About Yallah

What life with Yallah looks like

Yallah is a senior mixed breed cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Lilienthal in Grasberg.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yallah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yallah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Lilienthal handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yallah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yallah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Lilienthal will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yallah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yallah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Lilienthal early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yallah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
