Yankee arrived at the shelter as a kitten, very timid at first. Yankee grew up at the shelter and it became his home! For several years now he has been very affectionate and loves to climb onto people's laps. In his room, he is now one of the oldest, everyone knows him! He forms a very nice couple with the beautiful Lana, with whom he has been since the nursery. People often ask us why he is not up for adoption, simply because we don't separate him from Lana. And for 10 years that he has been at the shelter, he has never known anything else; he would not understand a change in environment, it would be like abandonment for him. So he is part of our permanent residents, those for whom sponsorship is essential in order to have a regular income for them! Yankee est arrivé au refuge quand il était chaton, très craintif à la base, Yankee a grandi au refuge et c’est devenu sa maison! Il est, depuis quelques années très câlin et adore monter sur les genoux des gens, dans sa pièce c’est désormais un des plus anciens, tous le monde le connaît! Il forme un très joli couple avec la belle Lana avec qui il est depuis la nurserie. On nous demande souvent pourquoi il n’est pas à l’adoption, tous simplement car on ne le sépare pas de Lana et depuis 10 ans qu’il est au refuge il n’a jamais rien connu d’autre, il ne comprendrait pas le changement d’environnement, se serait comme un abandon pour lui. Alors il fait partie de nos résidents permanents, ceux pour qui le parrainage est essentiel afin d’avoir une rentrée d’argent régulière pour eux!
