Adopt Yara

Female · Kitten · 7 months

Siblings 982/25, 984-986/25 and 989/25. The kitten family arrived at the animal shelter and urgently needs to find loving homes. The kittens are still young cats. Their bodies are very delicate and particularly susceptible to bacteria and viruses. For this reason, the kittens should leave the animal shelter as soon as possible. Due to the well-being of the kittens and concern for their proper development, we recommend adopting the kittens in pairs or a single kitten to a young resident cat. Adopting such kittens requires dedication and knowledge, so if you lack experience with kittens, we encourage you to read the post-adoption cat guide, which contains the most important information about raising a kitten. Thanks to it, the caregiver will be able to better prepare for welcoming the kitten into the home. Guide Before Adoption We recommend familiarizing yourself with the pre-adoption questionnaire and coming to the animal shelter with the completed form: Note: If you decide to adopt a cat or are considering it, bring a carrier or transport bag to the animal shelter. Before adoption, make sure your home or apartment is safe and properly prepared to welcome a new family member. Remember to secure the windows and balcony.

Rodzeństwo 982/25, 984-986/25 i 989/25 Rodzina kociąt trafiła do schroniska i potrzebuje pilnie znaleźć kochające domy. Maluchy to jeszcze kocie dzieci. Pamiętaj, żeby zabezpieczyć okna i balkon.

About Yara

What life with Yara looks like

Yara is a small puppy/kitten cat waiting at Schronisko Na Paluchu in Warsaw.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

Note from the shelter: Very young kitten requiring experienced care and delicate handling

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yara, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yara?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Na Paluchu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yara on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yara if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Na Paluchu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yara already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yara isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Na Paluchu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yara and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
