Klea, in her care center lovingly called Ylvi, belongs exactly to these special dogs. Born on 28.03.2024, she has a young, beautiful dog-mixed female dog with a fine feeling for her environment – and a bowl that wants to be occupied. Between sensitivity and strength Ylvi is human-related, friendly and enjoys closeness very. She likes to be in the middle of it – whether in everyday life, in the office or on the go. Car driving? No problem. Water? Find her great. At the same time, however, it also brings with it the typical qualities of a dog: it observes a lot, thinks, likes to make own decisions and takes responsibility quickly – sometimes even more than it should. What makes them special Ylvi is incredibly intelligent, learnable and full of energy. She has a desire for movement, training and common tasks – just “run” her not enough. At the same time, it still shows: a low frustration tolerance a pronounced hunting drive (even in cars, trucks, treckers) difficulties in staying alone a strong self-employment (I do that already myself) She is well tolerated with known dogs without leash, but her contacts are deliberately searching. At present, an unclear back injury is clarified. She is currently receiving pregabalin, a CT is planned. For Ylvi, we are not looking for beginners, but for people who really want to get involved in them: dog-experienced people with clear, quiet guidance, a structured home without children under 12 years of age, no cats in the household time, patience and joy in training (pulse control, frustration, orientation) as little as possible staying alone When you give their safety, something really special arises: a loyal, close bond, a dog who thinks with you. Ylvi is not a “simple” dog – but one that will touch you in a very special way. Maybe exactly your dog? Ylvi has been waiting for people in Germany since August 2025 who not only find them pretty – but really want to understand them. If you're ready to grow with her, she'll give you her whole heart. 🤍 .fusion-body .fusion-button Interested in an adoption? (click here) .fusion body .fusion builder

(Hier klicken) .fusion-body .fusion-builder

About Ylvi (25855)

What life with Ylvi (25855) looks like

Ylvi (25855) is a small senior mixed breed dog waiting at Nordic Strays e.V. in Germany.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ylvi (25855), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ylvi (25855)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Nordic Strays e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ylvi (25855) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ylvi (25855) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Nordic Strays e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ylvi (25855) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ylvi (25855) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Nordic Strays e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ylvi (25855) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
