Yuna

Husky · Female

Yuna ID No.: 1034230 Breed: Husky (mixed breed) Age: approx. 01/2017 Sex: female Shoulder height: approx. 50 cm Neutered/Spayed: Yes Location: Coin (Spain) Inquiry form ADOPTION SUPPORT Yuna (*ca. 2017, approx. 50 cm) is a wonderful Husky girl with strikingly bright blue eyes. She is very affectionate with people, very friendly, and cheerful. Yuna is not a shy dog; on the contrary, she has shown herself quite open toward humans so far. She’s always happy to receive a good cuddle. Currently, Yuna doesn’t come across as an overly active dog, but she enjoys relaxed walks. She hasn’t been tested with other dogs yet, as she’s in quarantine due to kennel cough—but this will be done shortly. Yuna was found alone by one of our volunteers right in the middle of a busy road in Coin (Spain). Since this location is outside the Marbella area, Yuna couldn’t be taken to our partner shelter Triple A and is now staying in a private foster home. Therefore, Yuna is being rehomed privately and is not housed at our partner shelter. When found, Yuna had been completely shaved. Someone likely meant well and tried to help her cope with Spain’s heat, but without the protective cover of her coat, Yuna developed sunburn on her skin. Yuna appears to have had a home previously—she was well-nourished—but unfortunately, she had no microchip, and no owner could be located in any other way. We can’t say whether her tail was docked or missing from birth. Since Spain is generally far too hot for a Husky, we’d like to find Yuna a home in Germany. Yuna is looking for people who enjoy going for walks but are equally happy lounging on the sofa and cuddling. This animal is microchipped.

About Yuna

What life with Yuna looks like

Yuna is a large adult husky dog waiting at Helfende Hände e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yuna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yuna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Helfende Hände e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yuna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yuna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Helfende Hände e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yuna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yuna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Helfende Hände e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yuna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
