ZAMPA &#8211

Male · Kitten

ZAMPA – outdoor cat Updated: June 19, 2026 Tomcat Zampa is rather reserved and a bit suspicious when first approached. Once you engage with him, he shows interest in contact. In his new home, patience and time are needed for him to get closer and build trust. Zampa came to us at the animal shelter with Lucky Luke and Speedy because there were too many cats living on-site. As a free-roaming cat, Zampa still needs his accustomed outdoor run in a green area, away from main roads, railways, etc., as he grew up in an area without traffic. The new owners should be prepared to show the necessary patience and spend a lot of time allowing the tomcat to settle in. Zampa is not suitable for children. To express your interest in adopting an animal, please email us and attach the completed questionnaire for the respective animal type. You can find the questionnaire >>> HERE. About ZAMPA &#8211

What life with ZAMPA &#8211 looks like

ZAMPA &#8211 is a puppy/kitten cat waiting at Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs in Zug (Allenwinden & Neuheim).

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting ZAMPA &#8211, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ZAMPA &#8211?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ZAMPA &#8211 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ZAMPA &#8211 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ZAMPA &#8211 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ZAMPA &#8211 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aargauischer Tierschutzverein ATs early rather than rehoming privately; they know ZAMPA &#8211 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
