Zeina

German Shepherd · Female · Young · 1 year

For interest in our dear Zeina, please send us the completed application form. Our dogs, including Zeina, usually come directly from Turkey to their families. What we know about Zeina: Zeina, our beautiful young German Shepherd-Mix lady, is looking for a loving home! Born around May 2024, she currently lives with her brother Conan. Compared to her brother, she is a bit more energetic, but that only makes her more lovable. She is the perfect companion for people who appreciate and love German Shepherds. Zeina is relatively small for a German Shepherd, which is why we suspect a mix, but she has a huge heart that wants to spread love. She gets along well with other dogs, is playful, and avoids conflicts. Zeina brings impressive intelligence and work ethic. This breed is known for its readiness to learn and ability to master complex tasks. Zeina is no exception – she loves being challenged both physically and mentally and craves movement and stimulation, which her current shelter life does not currently provide adequately. Attending dog training classes would be ideal to further develop her natural talents. She could not only deepen basic obedience but also learn more challenging tasks like tracking, agility, and rescue work. German Shepherds like Zeina thrive when they have a task and can work with their human. For Zeina, we wish for a family that meets her with affection and care and gives her the chance to live life to the fullest. If you are looking for a smart, loyal, and lively four-legged friend who will enrich your life, then Zeina is the perfect choice. Nice to know: Zeina is a true heartbreaker – charming, friendly, and full of joy. For interest in our dear Zeina, please send us the completed application form.

About Zeina

What life with Zeina looks like

Zeina is a medium-sized young adult german shepherd dog waiting at Care-4-life e.V. in Stuttgart.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zeina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zeina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Care-4-life e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zeina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zeina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Care-4-life e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zeina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zeina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Care-4-life e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zeina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
