Zeke

Mixed Breed Cat · Male · Kitten

Hi Zeke here..... If you have followed my story you will know I was kicked as a tiny kitten, my inner wall of my body was perforated and my back leg was smashed above the growth plate, this meant I had to have my leg amputated and a big surgery on my tummy. I have been living at Spud Towers and playing with the big cats and my younger little foster sister Sunshine who is also available.... I love to do zooms, play with pretty much anything and come for cuddles. I prefer to come to you when I've finished playing and then I will sprawl myself all over you. Face kisses are accepted and I love to nuzzle my face into my foster mama's hand when im having cuddles. I am a pretty incredible boy considering it was life and death for me when I first came to YCR Because I have had my back leg amputated I wont be as agile out on the road and it could be dangerous for me so I need to be an indoor baby with an inclosed garden or catio to keep me safe. Do you have room for a stunning boy like me??? Get applying then as I will have lots of applications.......

About Zeke

What life with Zeke looks like

Zeke is a very small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at Yorkshire Cat Rescue in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zeke, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zeke?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Yorkshire Cat Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zeke on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zeke if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Yorkshire Cat Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zeke already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zeke isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Yorkshire Cat Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zeke and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
