Kangal mix Zeus was born around February 2017 and came to us with about four months of age. He was a spirited, playful giant pup who was kindly but boisterous in the dog pack, and still greets people with the same friendly demeanor today as he did then. We would love to find a well-trained, just and thoughtful handler for Zeus who can guide him with great sensitivity (violence, pressure, or submission are absolutely out of place!) into the right paths and familiarize him with all situations and every animal and person who is significant in his social circle. Only then can Zeus become a wonderful family dog. A house and a well-fenced garden in the countryside are also advantageous. As a sensitive Kangal, an originally large-breed herding dog from Turkey, he must act as a home guard dog who must protect his animals, his family, and his property from two- and four-legged thieves, usually very independently and with a certain assertiveness. The dogs show a strong territorial behavior that extends far beyond the garden, with a claim to individual space. Kangalmischling Zeus erblickte schätzungsweise im Februar 2017 das Licht der Welt und kam mit ungefähr vier Monaten zu uns. Er war ein temperamentvolles, lustig-verspieltes Riesenbaby, das im Hunderudel gutmütig, aber ungestüm auftrat, und heute genauso wie damals Menschen immer freundlich gegenübersteht. Wir hätten gerne einen hunderfahrenen, gerecht und überlegt handelnden, selbstbewußt führenden Halter für Zeus, der ihn mit großer Sensibilität (Gewalt, Druck, Unterordnung sind absolut fehl am Platz!) in die richtigen Bahnen lenkt und ihn sorgsam mit allen Situationen und jedem Tier und Menschen vertraut macht, die für ihn im Sozialverband bedeutsam sind. Nur so kann aus Zeus ein toller Familienhund werden. Ein Haus und ein gut eingezäunter Garten im ländlichen Bereich sind auch von Vorteil. Da der feinfühlige Kangal ein aus der Türkei stammender, großwüchsiger Hirtenhund ist, handelt er als Herdenschutzhund, der seine Tiere, die Familie, das Grundstück vor zwei-und vierbeinigen Dieben schützen muss, meist sehr selbständig und entwickelt einen gewissen Eigensinn. Die Hunde zeigen ein stark territoriales Gebaren, das weit über den Garten hinausreicht, mit einem Anspruch auf Individualdistanz.
