adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Zilli has found a forever home! 31167 Bockenem. Zilli can travel to her foster home in March! Her story: Klausenburg, Romania. Can one resist the cute, beige female dog Zilli with her sweet floppy ears? No, one cannot. For Zilli, who is approximately 2.5 years old and 45-48cm tall with a weight of around 24kg, is a wonderful little girl dog, incredibly loving, playing with everyone, and most of all, wanting to cuddle all day. She always seeks the company of people and likes to stay close. She was found in August 2022 on a parking lot, where she was wandering alone. She gets along well with dogs, and we are looking for a home for Zilli where she can fully enjoy all her good qualities every day. For who does not like to play and cuddle and enjoy the sunny sides of life? One can definitely count on Zilli. If there's still a mountain of love, then the happiness on both sides is perfect, and Zilli's life can finally begin… For Zilli, we are looking for active people who enjoy making joint endeavors with Zilli. In addition to a good physical workout, the daily routine should include head and nose work. Zilli's playful nature should also be allowed to be expressed constantly. We assume a positive and reinforcing training style and a consistent and loving leadership. A visit to a dog training class would surely also bring her much joy. Zilli means "shadow," which fits her well because she always seeks the company of people. But like a shadow, she is always there but never intrusive. A wonderful little girl dog with many positive qualities is searching for her final place in life. She is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, and neutered, and is ready for her new home. She is up for adoption for 450 Euros and only after a positive match. Who will give their heart to the pretty Zilli and a loving home? Many thanks Fam. Reinprecht! The nametag was the start of a new life!

About Zilli

What life with Zilli looks like

Zilli is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zilli, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zilli?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zilli on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zilli if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zilli already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zilli isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zilli and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
