πŸ·πŸ’• MEET ZITA – OUR LITTLE PIGLET! πŸ’•πŸ· Zita D2026-48 | 3-year-old French Bulldog ✨ Neutered ✨ Vaccinated & microchipped ✨ Up to date with flea & wormer ✨ 5 weeks FREE Agria pet insurance πŸ“ Fostered in Llantrisant 🩺 Veterinary history to be discussed. Zita is quite simply ADORABLE! πŸ₯° She loves absolutely everyone and thinks every person and dog she meets is her new best friend. She is a wriggly, squirmy little bundle of fun who LOVES fuss, cuddles and being involved in whatever everyone else is doing! 🐾 She would love a home with another dog to play with , preferably one who won't encourage her to get too overexcited as this isn't good for her breathing. She absolutely thrives in canine company and has made friends with every dog she's met. 🎾 She LOVES the garden, playing chase, carrying the ball around and trying to be the resident β€œball girl” by bringing it back for another throw! πŸ– Zita is food obsessed and has absolutely NO manners when food is involved! πŸ˜‚ She needs to be fed separately as she has prescription food and medication and will happily barge her way into anyone else's dinner. πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ Lead walking is very much a work in progress . She simply doesn't really understand what she's supposed to do yet and will occasionally just stop! Her time in foster during the heatwave meant she had to stay cool indoors, so she's had limited opportunity to learn. 🏑 She is looking for a home where her humans are around most of the time. She can be left for short periods but has always had other dogs around. A secure garden is essential. πŸ›οΈ She loves her cosy beds, blankets and toys and is a brilliant sleeper, happily settling downstairs with the other dogs overnight. 🚽 Toilet training is also still a work in progress. She is praised for going outside but does still have accidents indoors β€” often hilariously just seconds after the garden door has been closed! πŸ˜‚ πŸ‘§ Because Zita is extremely wriggly, exc

About Zita

What life with Zita looks like

Zita is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Friends of Animals Wales in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Friends of Animals Wales handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Friends of Animals Wales will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Friends of Animals Wales early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
