Adopt ZOE

Female · Senior · 16 years

This lovely senior mouser deserves finally to know the peace and tenderness of a real home. Of the utmost gentleness, she is calm, discreet, and greatly appreciates human presence. She also cohabits very well with other cats, tolerating them with much sweetness. She currently suffers from a chronic cat flu, without any treatment currently in place. Her condition primarily requires a serene environment, attention, and a family ready to accompany her with kindness. Despite her small health issues, she retains all her sweetness and desire to receive affection. Like many aged and fragile cats, she unfortunately risks being less noticed... yet she still has a great deal of love to give. We hope with all our hearts that a kind soul will open their door to her, allowing her to live a peaceful retirement, surrounded by warmth and security.

About ZOE

What life with ZOE looks like

ZOE is a senior cat waiting at SPA Forbach in Forbach.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting ZOE, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about ZOE?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SPA Forbach handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw ZOE on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt ZOE if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SPA Forbach will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is ZOE already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if ZOE isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SPA Forbach early rather than rehoming privately; they know ZOE and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
