Zoegas

Female · Adult · 4 years

Zoegas is an energetic, curious and forward-thinking 8-month-old boy who thrives on mental stimulation and enjoys working with his human. He is a skilled retriever and would love to continue training in his new home. Zoegas is a loyal companion who needs a family that shares his passion for dog training. He is kind, responsive, eager to please and seeks human interaction. He has a strong desire to do the right thing, but needs ongoing support and guidance in his daily training. He is a happy and curious dog with a great sense of humor. His new family needs to be a secure and engaged family that can help him understand, manage and regulate his emotions in a positive way. He needs to learn that even the most exciting event in the world can wait for a second. Zoegas wants a comfortable place on the couch where he can feel a sense of belonging, relax and feel like he has found his home. Zoegas is a young dog with a high activity level that needs to be satisfied to stay happy. When he becomes understimulated, he finds his own tasks to solve, such as chewing on a shoe or remote control. You need to have thought through the decision carefully, Zoegas is a young dog that will require a lot to stay happy, so we see that you have experience with active hunting breeds before. Zoegas is looking for an active home with time, commitment and a genuine interest in dog training. If you are looking for a fantastic companion who enjoys working, learning and developing with his human, Zoegas is the perfect choice for you. If you also enjoy spending your days outdoors and making every day an adventure, Zoegas is a perfect candidate for you. He is looking for a country house where he can have plenty of space and the opportunity to live out his active sides. In his previous home, he trained a lot of retrieving and went on daily bike rides, something he would love to continue with. We are looking for a family without children and other animals, who enjoy developing and training together and want to continue building on Zoegas' great qualities.

About Zoegas

What life with Zoegas looks like

Zoegas is a adult dog waiting at Hundstallet in Stockholm.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇸🇪Adopting from Sweden

Swedish shelters require an adoption application and home visit. Animals are chipped, vaccinated, and sterilized. Cross-border placements within the EU use the standard pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zoegas, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zoegas?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundstallet handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zoegas on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zoegas if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundstallet will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zoegas already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zoegas isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundstallet early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zoegas and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (SV). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
