Zorka had a difficult start in life. She was found as a puppy and had to go to a shelter. After the required quarantine, she returned, deeply unsettled and traumatized. It took a long time for her to regain trust in people. Today, Zorka shows how much she has achieved. ❤️ With new people, she is initially cautious and prefers to observe first. If you give her this moment, she quickly warms up. Interestingly, Zorka often finds it easy to connect with men. In Zorka, there is a Kangal - and thus a real livestock guardian dog. She brings typical characteristics with her: she is independent, vigilant and territorial, and takes her surroundings very seriously. Therefore, she needs people who know and appreciate these characteristics and approach her with calmness, clarity and reliability. During a walk, Zorka is great: she walks very well on a leash and is tolerant with other dogs on the way. However, she does not want to share her territory with another dog in her own home. Therefore, we are looking for a place for her as a single dog. Cats should not live there either. 🏡 Ideal for Zorka would be a rural home with plenty of space and a securely fenced property. A house with a large garden, farm or comparable possibilities would fit her very well. Zorka can also spend a lot of time outside or live outside according to her needs, as long as she has a protected retreat and, of course, close contact with her people. Zorka is not the right dog for a small apartment in the middle of the city. She needs space, peace and an environment in which her breed-typical characteristics do not become a problem, but are understood and sensibly accompanied. We are looking for dog-experienced people, ideally with livestock guardian dog experience, who do not expect a dog that simply "works". Zorka hatte keinen einfachen Start ins Leben. Sie wurde bereits als Welpe gefunden und musste zunächst ins Tierheim. Nach der vorgeschriebenen Quarantäne kam sie stark verunsichert und traumatisiert zurück. Es hat lange gedauert, bis sie wieder Vertrauen zu Menschen fassen konnte. Heute zeigt Zorka, wie viel sie geschafft hat. ❤️ Bei neuen Menschen ist sie zunächst abwartend und beobachtet lieber erst einmal. Gibt man ihr diesen Moment, taut sie jedoch schnell auf. Interessanterweise findet Zorka zu Männern häufig besonders schnell einen Zugang. In Zorka steckt ein Kangal – und damit ein echter Herdenschutzhund. Sie bringt typische Eigenschaften mit: Sie ist selbstständig, wachsam und territorial und nimmt ihre Umgebung sehr genau wahr. Sie braucht deshalb Menschen, die diese Eigenschaften kennen und schätzen und ihr mit Ruhe, Klarheit und Verlässlichkeit begegnen. Beim Spaziergang zeigt sich Zorka toll: Sie läuft sehr schön an der Leine und ist unterwegs mit anderen Hunden verträglich. In ihrem eigenen Zuhause möchte sie ihr Revier allerdings nicht mit einem weiteren Hund teilen. Deshalb suchen wir für sie einen Platz als Einzelhund. Auch Katzen sollten dort nicht leben. 🏡 Ideal für Zorka wäre ein ländliches Zuhause mit viel Platz und einem sicher eingezäunten Grundstück. Ein Haus mit großem Garten, Hof oder vergleichbare Möglichkeiten würden sehr gut zu ihr passen. Zorka kann auch viel Zeit draußen verbringen bzw. entsprechend ihrer Bedürfnisse draußen leben, sofern sie einen geschützten Rückzugsort und selbstverständlich engen Kontakt zu ihren Menschen hat. Für eine kleine Wohnung mitten in der Stadt ist Zorka nicht die richtige Hündin. Sie braucht Platz, Ruhe und ein Umfeld, in dem ihre rassetypischen Eigenschaften nicht zum Problem werden, sondern verstanden und sinnvoll begleitet werden. Wir suchen für sie hundeerfahrene Menschen, idealerweise mit Herdenschutzhund-Erfahrung, die keinen Hund erwarten, der einfach nur „funktioniert“.
