adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Zwackelmann can stay forever! His story: Zwackelmann is one of those puppies that you can't help but smile at. With his light beige fur, curious gaze, and typical puppy behavior, he brings everything with him to win hearts in a storm. He comes from a large litter of ten, from which one sibling unfortunately did not make it, and two puppies were rehomed locally in Romania. The remaining siblings, including Zwackelmann, are currently growing up in a foster home with Diana Larissa in Bistrița and are waiting to finally find their own people. The mother of the puppies is a friendly, medium-sized female dog weighing about 15 kilograms, and the father is unknown. Accordingly, we assume that Zwackelmann will grow to be a pleasant medium size when fully grown. At about four months old, he is open, playful, and social. He gets along well with other dogs and greets people friendly and interested. Zwackelmann is a typical young puppy who wants to discover the world, likes to play, curiously observes, and still has a lot to learn. Like all puppies, Zwackelmann has not yet experienced life in a household. House training, leash manners, being alone, everyday situations, and routines are still at the beginning for him. At the same time, his puberty is approaching, a time when young dogs like to test boundaries and seemingly forget what they have learned. Here, Zwackelmann needs people who are patient, give him security, and accompany him with loving consistency. With positive reinforcement and clear structures, he will develop into a great companion. Attending a positively working dog training class can be very helpful. For Zwackelmann, we wish for a home where it is enjoyable to accompany a young dog on his journey, take him seriously, and give him time to develop. People who are eager to learn together, grow, and experience many small and big adventures. Zwackelmann travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to his new home. Age-wise, he is not yet neutered. Who falls in love with the small light beige Zwackelmann and gives him a home where he can arrive, learn, and stay forever? Many thanks to Anna Lena! You gave Zwackelmann his special name. As of: 10.02. Some symptoms here are age-related.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Anna Lena! Du hast Zwackelmann seinen besonderen Namen gegeben. Stand: 10.02.2026

About Zwackelmann

What life with Zwackelmann looks like

Zwackelmann is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zwackelmann, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zwackelmann?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zwackelmann on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zwackelmann if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zwackelmann already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zwackelmann isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zwackelmann and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
