Actualización 19.12.2024: ¿Has conocido a nuestro KANELLOS? Solía ser una verdadera celebridad en las calles de Quania. ¡Es cierto! Kanellos seguro que tiene muchas historias para contar de todas las aventuras que ha tenido. Pero la vida en la calle no es nada fácil, especialmente para los viejos. Ahora retirado de su trabajo como jefe de las calles, Kanellos sueña con convertirse en un perro tierno en todo momento. Después de pasar algún tiempo en una jaula privada, finalmente llegó al refugio este octubre. Esperamos que no permanezca demasiado tiempo. Verás, nuestro Kanellos es un anciano amable que quiere nada más que acurrucarse a tu lado. Una vida tranquila, sencilla, llena de todo el calor y amor que pueda recibir. Por favor considere adoptar un perro de edad avanzada. Era el perro alpha. Alpha de la ciudad. Una noche se metió en una pelea con un perro de dueño, mucho más pequeño que él. Se rumoreaba que los dueños regresarían esa misma noche para deshacerse de Kanellos. No podíamos permitir eso. Yo en persona era un gran admirador suyo, toda mi vida en Chania, desde la primera vez que lo encontré en la calle. Así que lo recogí y desde entonces ha estado viviendo en una jaula privada. Come BARF. Tiene sus propios espacios interiores y exteriores, pero aún así no es un hogar. Añadido a ello, el costo de tenerlo allí es completamente irracional para nuestro presupuesto. Tenemos que conseguirle un hogar a Kanellos. Es hora de que este bello comience su nueva vida. En un hogar, en un sofá. Es un hombre mayor. Más de siete años. Aunque fue un tipo duro en las calles, ahora se ha vuelto un blandengue bajo cuidados personales. Otros animales no lo molestan demasiado. Y es totalmente sociable con personas, imagínate cuántas tuvo que tratar en un día. Preferimos que viva en un hogar con un solo animal, debido a su edad y a la vida que ha llevado hasta ahora. Juega a atrapar, quiere caricias en el vientre, es digno de un hogar. Sé ese hogar. Abre tu corazón a Kanellos, el perro más famoso que caminó por las calles de Chania. Su historia: Kanellos se lastimó anoche pero no gravemente. Tuvo que ser retirado de la calle porque su vida estaba en peligro. Ahora está en una jaula hasta que podamos arreglar una jaula segura para que se quede en el refugio. Probablemente me esté enfadado, pero preferiría que esté enfadado y vivo que muerto. La jaula cuesta. Tanto como arreglar la jaula. Por favor considere donar a nuestra causa, o al menos a la causa de Kanello. Vale la pena. El perrito más colorido que recorre las calles de Chania. Es el jefe. Es un blando. Tiene sentido del humor. Puede ser muy serio. Está cansado. Muchos años a merced de la comunidad: los enojados, los felices, los borrachos, los frustrados, los amantes, los indiferentes... probablemente podría escribir un libro. Yo lo llevaría a casa yo mismo. Verás, tengo una relación amorosa con Kanello sin que él lo sepa. Suelo derretirme como una estudiante cuando lo veo y llorar como un niño cuando su atención se dirige a otra parte y se aleja de mí. Yo lo llevaría a casa yo mismo, pero no es bueno con gatos. Y tengo tantos. Kanello necesita un hogar. Su cuerpo está desgastado, sus patas están cansadas. Seguro que revivirá una vez cuidado y amado, pero si sigue en la calle no creo que dure mucho más. Kanello tiene más de ocho años, es un anciano. Si estás interesado y pasas nuestras expectativas, lo recogeremos, lo llevaremos directamente al veterinario para análisis de sangre y una revisión completa. Actualizaremos sus vacunas. Ha sido castrado por el Ayuntamiento. Necesitará un dueño experimentado. Kanello necesita un hogar. Actualización 19.12.2024: Kanello es un perrito callejero famoso en la ciudad de Chania. Es grande y valiente y AMA las reuniones, protestas y desfiles. Este año, como cada año, participó en la carrera anual de Santa. Si está interesado en adoptarlo, por favor háganoslo saber. Por supuesto es agradable verlo participar en estos eventos pero sería aún más agradable verlo en un sofá en un cálido hogar. Y por favor no me preguntes si es bueno con la gente.

Update 19.12.2024: Have you met our KANELLOS? He used to be quite the celebrity on the streets of Chania. It’s true! Kanellos surely has many stories to tell from all the adventures he’s had. But life on the streets is no joke, especially for the oldies! Now retired from his job as chief of the streets, Kanellos dreams of becoming a full-time softie. After spending some time in a private kennel, he finally arrived at the shelter this October. We’re hoping he won’t stay too long. You see, our Kanellos is a gentle senior who wants nothing more than to curl up next to you. A quiet, simple life, filled with all the warmth and love he can get Please consider adopting a senior dog. Please consider adopting our Kanellos, so he can finally enjoy the safety of a loving home he has waited for all his life Be a part of the project. Adopt Kanellos today! The Souda Shelter Project Update 3.12.2022: Let’s not forget Kanellos. Kanellos roamed the streets of Chania and was better known than the mayor himself. He was alpha dog. Alpha of the town. One night he got into a scuff with an owned dog, much smaller his size. Rumor had it that the owners would be back that evening to get rid of Kanellos. We could not let that happen. I myself was a huge fan of his, my whole life in Chania, from the first time I encountered him on the street. So I had him picked up and since that time he has been living in a private kennel. He eats BARF. He has his own inside outside living quarters but that still does not amount to a home. Not to mention the cost of having him there is completely irrational to our budget. We have to get Kanellos a home. It’s time this beauty begins his new life. In a home, on a couch. He is an older gentleman. Seven plus. Although he was a tough guy on the streets he has become a softy under personal care. Other animals don’t phase him much. And he is fully sociable with people, just imagine how many he had to deal with in one day. We do prefer he live in a single animal home, just because of his age and the life he has led till now. He plays catch, he wants belly rubs, he is deserving of a home. Be that home. Open your heart to Kanellos, the most famous dog to walk the streets of Chania. His story: Kanellos was hurt last night but not seriously. We had to take him off the street because his life was in danger. He is now in a kennel till we can fix a pen for him to stay in safely at the shelter. He’s probably mad at me but I’d rather he be mad and alive than dead. The kennel costs. So does fixing the pen. Please consider donating to our cause, or at least to Kanello’s cause. He is so worth it! Anyone interested in adopting Kanello should know the following: He is not good with cats. He is best as a single dog or with a large female. He is a senior so he will have some geriatric issues which we will uncover in the next weeks (like back leg arthritis). Please consider him. The most colorful stray to roam the streets of Chania. He is the chief. He is a softy. He has a sense of humor. He can be very serious. He is tired. So many years at the mercy of the community: the angry, the happy, the drunk, the frustrated, the loving, the indifferent…he could probably write a book. I would take him home myself. You see, I have a love affair with Kanello unknowing to him. I swoon like a schoolgirl when I see him and sulk like a child when his attention is drawn elsewhere and he trots away from me. I would take him home myself but he is not good with cats. And I have so many. Kanello needs a home. His body is worn, his legs are tired. For sure he will spring back to life once pampered and loved but if he stays on the street I don’t see him lasting much longer. Kanello is over eight years of age, he is a senior. If you are interested and you pass our expectations we will collect him, take him straight to the vet for bloodwork and a thorough check up. We will bring his vaccinations up-to-date. He has been castrated by the Municipality. He will need an experienced dog owner Kanello needs a home. Update 19.12.2024: Kanello is a famous stray in Chania town. He is big and bold and LOVES gatherings, protests and parades. This year, like every year he participated in the annual Santa Run. If you’re interested in adopting him please let us know. Of course it’s nice to see him participate in such events but it would be even nicer to see him on someone’s couch in someone’s warm home. And please don’t ask me if he’s good with people
