Lucie fue encontrada en las calles, sospechando que había sido utilizada para criar. Pasó un año en un refugio donde no recibió el cuidado que necesitaba. Afortunadamente, aterrizó en sus pies y luego se dirigió a uno de nuestros contactos colaboradores que es una instalación híbrida de jaulas y acogida. Permite a los perros conocer la vida en casa antes de encontrar una familia propia. Llegó con algunos dientes podridos y ojo de cereza y claramente había estado en dolor durante algún tiempo, no que lo demostrara - es muy dulce y gentil y no hizo ningún escándalo. Ha sido un placer y es querida por todos los que la conocen. Es fantástica con los otros perros, muy tranquila y sociable. Es fantástica con las personas - segura y cariñosa. Le gusta pasear por afuera y le encanta cazar - es una experta en cazar roedores (tengan cuidado!). Realmente beneficiaría de un jardín en un área más tranquila para disfrutar su retiro - es una chica del campo en lugar de una ciudadana. Puede vivir como único perro o con otros perros. Ha tenido algunas breves interacciones con gatos callejeros y si algo estaba un poco desconfiada de ellos, por lo tanto podría vivir con gatos seguros. Como es tan buena con las personas, creemos que haría bien con niños, pero es una chica robusta (no es completamente podenco y tiene algo más grueso en la mezcla!) así que pensamos que 8+ porque no queremos que empuje a nadie pequeño. Desde que le arreglaron los dientes y el ojo, está haciendo muy bien - muy sana y en forma. Le gusta irse a la cama por la noche cuando está cansada y es simplemente una superestrella que creemos que encajará muy bien en la vida familiar. Lucie was found on the streets, suspected of having been used for breeding. She spent a year in a shelter where she didn’t quite get the care she needed. Thankfully she landed on her feet and then made her way to one of our partner contacts which is a hybrid kennel and foster set up. It allows the dogs to get a real taste of home life before finding a family of their own. She arrived with some rotten teeth and cherry eye and had clearly been in pain for some time, not that she let on - she’s incredibly sweet and gentle and didn’t make a fuss at all. She has just been a delight and is loved by all who meet her! She is fantastic with all of the other dogs, really easy going and sociable. She’s fantastic with people - confident and affectionate. She likes pottering around outdoors and she loves hunting - she is an expert rodent hunter (you have been warned!). She’d really benefit from a nice garden in a slightly quieter area to enjoy her retirement - she’s a country bumpkin rather than a city girl! She can live as an only dog or with other dogs. She has had some brief encounters with some stray cats and if anything was a bit wary of them, so she could likely live with confident cats. As she’s so good with people, we think she’d do fine with children, but she’s a big stocky girl (she’s not quite full podenco and has something chunkier in the mix!) so we think 8+ as we wouldn’t want her knocking any little ones over. Since getting her teeth and eye fixed, she’s doing great - very fit and healthy. She does like to take herself off to bed of a night when she’s tired and she’s just an all round superstar that we think will slot into home life very nicely!
