Llegó a nosotros en ambulancia y, lamentablemente, no pudo regresar a su anterior hogar. Inicialmente Porsche encontró el cambio abrumador y estaba muy asustada, pero con el tiempo, la paciencia y la rutina ha tenido un buen ajuste y ahora es una perra mucho más feliz. Necesitará un dueño experimentado que entienda las razas seguras y fuertes y pueda continuar con su entrenamiento. Porsche es fuerte en la correa y puede ser reactiva con otros perros, aunque ha demostrado que puede formar buenas relaciones. Le gusta especialmente caminar con uno de nuestros perros machos, Spud, y lo hace con calma y felicidad. Porsche puede ser cautelosa con personas desconocidas y podría ladrar cuando se sienta insegura, por lo tanto, las presentaciones tendrán que gestionarse cuidadosamente y a su ritmo. Una vez que conozca a alguien, sin embargo, es muy cariñosa y disfruta del contacto físico: saluda al personal con entusiasmo y le encanta estirarse para recibir atención cuando sale de su jaula. Como corresponde a su naturaleza de Boxer, Porsche disfruta del juego y del tiempo al aire libre. Le encanta especialmente observar y perseguir pájaros en el corral, con las gaviotas siendo una especialidad favorita. She arrived with us via ambulance and, sadly, was unable to return to her previous home. Initially, Porsche found the change overwhelming and was very frightened, but with time, patience, and routine she has settled and is now a much happier dog. She will need an experienced dog owner who understands confident, strong breeds and can continue her training. Porsche is strong on the lead and can be reactive to other dogs, although she has shown that she can build positive relationships. She particularly enjoys walking with one of our male dogs, Spud, and does so calmly and happily. Porsche can be wary of unfamiliar people and may bark when she feels unsure, so introductions will need to be managed carefully and at her pace. Once she knows you, however, she is very affectionate and enjoys physical contact — she greets the staff enthusiastically and loves stretching up for attention when coming out of her kennel. True to her Boxer nature, Porsche enjoys play and time outdoors. She especially loves watching and chasing birds in the pen, with seagulls being a particular favourite. Boxers are intelligent, energetic, and people-focused dogs, and Porsche shows all of these traits. She will benefit from regular exercise, mental stimulation, and clear, consistent boundaries. In terms of care, Boxers have short coats that are easy to maintain with occasional brushing. They do best with structured routines and positive reinforcement training. As a breed, they form strong bonds with their owners and thrive in homes where they receive time, guidance, and companionship.
