Lo conocimos a Radu durante la campaña de esterilización y castración que realizamos en el refugio en octubre ’25. Bueno, no exactamente. Fuimos nosotros quienes recogimos a Radu. En una montaña, en medio de nowhere, mientras estábamos buscando a otros perros de un grupo que vive allí permanentemente, él apareció repentinamente frente a nosotros. Lo llevamos con el resto. Con él no hubo esfuerzo alguno. Caminó directamente hacia nosotros como si hubiera estado esperando. A partir de su comportamiento y condición general, era claro que no tenía nada que ver con el grupo cercano. Había sido abandonado recientemente, y lo encontramos en el momento más vulnerable que atraviesa cualquier perro abandonado. Ese momento en el que, abrumados por lo desconocido, simplemente buscan algo al que aferrarse. Y se aferró a nosotros. No pudimos dejarlo atrás. ¿Cómo podríamos hacerlo, justo cuando había sentido un poco de seguridad? Llegó al refugio muy delgado y agotado, pero en buen estado de salud. Todo lo que necesitaba para recuperarse era comida adecuada, y ahora tiene tanto como quiere. Sus orejas y cola han sido cortadas. No sabemos si alguien pretendía que fuera un perro guardián para ganado, pero después de conocerlo, la idea parece casi absurda. Radu es un maravilloso alma joven que encuentra alegría en las cosas más simples. Le encanta dar paseos y anhela la compañía humana. Nos espera con entusiasmo, y en el momento en que se da cuenta de que va a salir, apenas puede contener su emoción. Quien lo adopte tendrá el privilegio de compartir su vida con un perro verdaderamente especial, dulce. Un perro que puede mantenerlo caliente en invierno, gracias a su grueso pelaje suave y su cálido corazón. VIDEO

We met Radu during the spay and neuter campaign we carried out at the shelter in October ’25. Well, not exactly. We were actually the ones who picked Radu up. Up on a mountain, in the middle of nowhere, while we were searching for other dogs from a pack that lives there permanently, he suddenly appeared right in front of us. We took him along with the rest. With him, there was no effort at all. He walked straight toward us as if he had been waiting. From his behavior and overall condition, it was clear that he had nothing to do with the nearby pack. He had just been abandoned, and we found him at the most vulnerable moment any abandoned dog goes through. That moment when, overwhelmed by the unknown, they are simply looking for something to hold on to. And he held on to us. We couldn’t bring ourselves to leave him behind. How could we, just when he had finally felt a little safe? He arrived at the shelter very thin and exhausted, but otherwise in good health. All he needed to recover was proper food, and he now has as much as he wants. His ears and tail have been cut. Whether someone intended him to be a livestock guardian dog, we cannot know. But having met him, the idea feels almost absurd. Radu is a wonderful young soul who finds joy in the simplest things. He loves going for walks and craves human companionship. He waits for us eagerly, and the moment he realizes he’s about to go out, he can barely contain his excitement. Whoever adopts him will have the privilege of sharing their life with a truly special, gentle dog. A dog who can keep you warm in the winter, thanks to his thick, fluffy coat and his warm heart.
