Nous avons connu Radu lors de la campagne de stérilisation et d'adoption que nous avons menée au refuge en octobre '25. Bon, pas exactement. C'est en fait nous qui avions ramassé Radu. Sur une montagne, au milieu de nulle part, alors que nous cherchions d'autres chiens d'une meute qui y vit depuis toujours, il est soudainement apparu juste devant nous. Nous l'avons emmené avec les autres. Avec lui, il n'y avait aucun effort. Il a marché droit vers nous comme s'il avait attendu. En observant son comportement et son état général, il était clair qu'il n'avait rien à voir avec la meute proche. Il avait simplement été abandonné, et nous l'avons trouvé au moment le plus vulnérable qu'un chien abandonné puisse traverser. Ce moment où, submergé par l'inconnu, ils cherchent simplement quelque chose à tenir. Et il s'est accroché à nous. Nous n'avons pas pu le laisser derrière nous. Comment aurions-nous pu, juste quand il avait enfin eu un peu de sécurité ? Il est arrivé au refuge très maigre et épuisé, mais globalement en bonne santé. Tout ce dont il avait besoin pour se rétablir, c'était de la nourriture appropriée, et il en a maintenant autant qu'il en veut. Ses oreilles et sa queue ont été coupées. On ne sait pas si quelqu'un voulait en faire un chien de garde pour le bétail, mais après avoir rencontré Radu, cette idée semble presque absurde. Radu est un merveilleux jeune être qui trouve de la joie dans les choses les plus simples. Il adore faire des promenades et désire la compagnie humaine. Il nous attend avec impatience, et dès qu'il réalise qu'il va sortir, il ne peut presque pas contenir son excitation. Qui l'adopte aura le privilège de partager sa vie avec un chien vraiment spécial, doux. Un chien qui vous tiendra chaud en hiver grâce à son pelage épais et moelleux et à son cœur chaud. VIDÉO

We met Radu during the spay and neuter campaign we carried out at the shelter in October ’25. Well, not exactly. We were actually the ones who picked Radu up. Up on a mountain, in the middle of nowhere, while we were searching for other dogs from a pack that lives there permanently, he suddenly appeared right in front of us. We took him along with the rest. With him, there was no effort at all. He walked straight toward us as if he had been waiting. From his behavior and overall condition, it was clear that he had nothing to do with the nearby pack. He had just been abandoned, and we found him at the most vulnerable moment any abandoned dog goes through. That moment when, overwhelmed by the unknown, they are simply looking for something to hold on to. And he held on to us. We couldn’t bring ourselves to leave him behind. How could we, just when he had finally felt a little safe? He arrived at the shelter very thin and exhausted, but otherwise in good health. All he needed to recover was proper food, and he now has as much as he wants. His ears and tail have been cut. Whether someone intended him to be a livestock guardian dog, we cannot know. But having met him, the idea feels almost absurd. Radu is a wonderful young soul who finds joy in the simplest things. He loves going for walks and craves human companionship. He waits for us eagerly, and the moment he realizes he’s about to go out, he can barely contain his excitement. Whoever adopts him will have the privilege of sharing their life with a truly special, gentle dog. A dog who can keep you warm in the winter, thanks to his thick, fluffy coat and his warm heart.
