La historia de Rhubarb comenzó en Rumanía, donde nació en una escuela. Se llamó a la perrera local y los agentes de captura fueron a recoger toda la camada. Desde ese día, lo único que ha conocido es una vida muy ocupada y caótica en un refugio público rumano. Era una camada grande de la que vino Rhubarb y todos sus hermanos fueron adoptados rápidamente y comenzaron sus nuevas vidas en el Reino Unido. Rhubarb quedó atrás con su hermano Tato, y ambos crecieron cada vez más temerosos de las personas. Estuvimos de acuerdo en tomar a estos bebés antes de que perdieran su oportunidad de encontrar alguna vez una familia propia, ya que habrían sido solo números allí y se habrían perdido entre las caras en constante aumento de perros asustados. Rhubarb está con nosotros hace unos pocos semanas y está haciendo progresos lentos, necesitará un hogar muy paciente y comprensivo para ayudarla a adaptarse y sentirse segura. El mundo entero de Rhubarb son otros perros, no podrá soportar vivir en un hogar sin al menos otro perro residente, uno que sea amigable, seguro y le muestre cómo simplemente ser un perro. Rhubarb no puede hacer pruebas de gato en este momento debido a su miedo. Rhubarb tiene miedo para ver cuáles serían sus niveles reales de energía en un hogar, pero le encanta correr y jugar con los demás perros en el resguardo. Mientras Rhubarb esté con otro perro, debería estar bien para dejarla sola durante aproximadamente 4 horas. Sin otro perro, tiene ansiedad seria y gritará todo el lugar. Rhubarb es demasiado miedosa para intentar el entrenamiento con correa en este momento. Rhubarb no tiene ningún tipo de entrenamiento básico.

Rhubarb's story started in Romania where she was born in a school. The local pound was called and the dog catchers went to round up the full litter. From that day, all she has ever known is a very busy and chaotic life in a Romanian public shelter. It was a large litter that Rhubarb came from and all of her siblings were quickly adopted and starting their new lives in the UK. Rhubarb was left behind with her brother Tato where they both grew ever more fearful of humans. We agreed to take these babies on before they lost their chance of ever being able to find a family of their own as they would have just become numbers over there and lost of the ever expanding faces or terrified dogs. Rhubarb has been with us a few weeks now and is making slow progess, she's going to need a very patient and understanding home to help her settle in and feel safe. Rhubarb's whole world is other dogs, she wont' cope in a home without at least one other resident dog living there, one that is friendly, confident and can show them how to just be a dog. Rhubarb is too fearful to be able to safely cat test at this time. Rhubarb is too scared to see what her real energy levels would be like in a home but she does LOVE to run and play around with the other dogs at the rescue So long as Rhubarb is with another dog, she should be ok to be left for approx 4 hours. Without another dog, she has serious anxiety and will scream the place down. She will need to slowly learn over time that it is ok to be alone and that she is safe, she has never not been around other dogs for more than a few minutes. Rhubarb is too fearful to attempt lead training at this time Rhubarb has no form of basic training
