Rhubarb a commencé son histoire en Roumanie où elle est née dans une école. Le refuge local a été avisé et les chasseurs de chiens sont allés ramasser toute la portée. Depuis ce jour, elle a toujours connu une vie très occupée et chaotique dans un refuge public roumain. C'était une grande portée dont faisait partie Rhubarb et tous ses frères et sœurs ont été rapidement adoptés et ont commencé de nouvelles vies au Royaume-Uni. Rhubarb a été laissée derrière avec son frère Tato et ils ont de plus en plus développé la peur des humains. Nous avons accepté d'accueillir ces bébés avant qu'ils ne perdent leur chance de trouver un foyer car ils auraient simplement été des chiffres là-bas et se seraient perdus parmi les visages de plus en plus nombreux de chiens effrayés. Rhubarb est avec nous depuis quelques semaines maintenant et elle progresse lentement, elle aura besoin d'un foyer très patient et compréhensif pour l'aider à s'installer et à se sentir en sécurité. Le monde entier de Rhubarb est constitué d'autres chiens, elle ne pourra pas s'adapter dans un foyer sans au moins un autre chien résident, qui soit amical, confiant et qui puisse lui montrer comment être juste un chien. Rhubarb est trop effrayée pour pouvoir tester un chat pour le moment. Rhubarb est trop effrayée pour savoir quel niveau d'énergie elle aurait dans un foyer mais elle adore courir et jouer avec les autres chiens au refuge. Pour autant que Rhubarb soit avec un autre chien, elle devrait pouvoir rester seule pendant environ 4 heures. Sans un autre chien, elle a des problèmes d'anxiété sérieux et hurlera tout le temps. Elle devra apprendre progressivement que c'est bien d'être seule et qu'elle est en sécurité, elle n'a jamais été séparée des autres chiens pendant plus de quelques minutes. Rhubarb est trop effrayée pour essayer un entraînement en laisse pour le moment. Rhubarb n'a aucun type d'entraînement de base.

Rhubarb's story started in Romania where she was born in a school. The local pound was called and the dog catchers went to round up the full litter. From that day, all she has ever known is a very busy and chaotic life in a Romanian public shelter. It was a large litter that Rhubarb came from and all of her siblings were quickly adopted and starting their new lives in the UK. Rhubarb was left behind with her brother Tato where they both grew ever more fearful of humans. We agreed to take these babies on before they lost their chance of ever being able to find a family of their own as they would have just become numbers over there and lost of the ever expanding faces or terrified dogs. Rhubarb has been with us a few weeks now and is making slow progess, she's going to need a very patient and understanding home to help her settle in and feel safe. Rhubarb's whole world is other dogs, she wont' cope in a home without at least one other resident dog living there, one that is friendly, confident and can show them how to just be a dog. Rhubarb is too fearful to be able to safely cat test at this time. Rhubarb is too scared to see what her real energy levels would be like in a home but she does LOVE to run and play around with the other dogs at the rescue So long as Rhubarb is with another dog, she should be ok to be left for approx 4 hours. Without another dog, she has serious anxiety and will scream the place down. She will need to slowly learn over time that it is ok to be alone and that she is safe, she has never not been around other dogs for more than a few minutes. Rhubarb is too fearful to attempt lead training at this time Rhubarb has no form of basic training
