Melon busca su hogar para siempre! Puede vivir con niños de secundaria que entiendan que es una perra mayor y que necesitará espacio para relajarse en ocasiones. Melon quiere ser el único animal en la casa, para que pueda tener toda la atención por su cuenta, pero está más que contenta de compartir sus paseos con compañeros tranquilos y educados que no esperen juegos ni mucha interacción de su parte. Tiene su entrenamiento básico y sabe sentarse, dar la pata y acostarse, le encantan las golosinas y puede aprender más con un delicioso premio. Como está entrenada para ir al baño, podría vivir en una casa con jardín privado o comunitario, o sin jardín si tiene suficientes oportunidades de salir para ir al baño. Una vez que se haya adaptado a la casa, Melon puede quedarse sola durante unos 4 horas si se construye positivamente y progresivamente. Debido a su edad, Melon toma medicación diaria, los posibles adoptantes recibirán los detalles al ser asignados a ella. Melon necesitará conocer a sus adoptadores unas cuantas veces antes de irse a casa, así que tengan esto en cuenta al postularse. Tenga en cuenta que si es seleccionada, nuestro proceso de reubicación suele llevar hasta 7 días, y los posibles adoptantes deberán venir al centro para conocerla dentro de las 48 horas siguientes a su selección. La hermosa Melon es una Border Collie de 11 años que, a pesar de su edad, aún ama salir y explorar, olfatear e investigar todo. Es una dama tranquila, con corazón joven, que disfruta igualmente de aventuras olfativas y de dormir en su cama. No ha mostrado interés en jugar con juguetes ni en perseguir una pelota. Entre paseos, está contenta simplemente viendo el mundo pasar y descansando. Viaja bien en el coche si desea llevarla a aventuras más lejos! ¿Tiene un lugar muy acogedor solo para ella?

Melon is looking for her forever retirement home! She can live with secondary school aged children who understand she is an older girl and will need space to just relax at times. Melon would like to be the only pet in the home, so she can have all of the attention to herself, but is more than happy to share her strolls with some calm & polite walking buddies that don’t expect play or lots of interaction from her. She has her basic training and knows sit, paw & down, she loves her snacks so can be encouraged to learn more for a tasty treat. As she’s housetrained, she could live in a home with either a private or communal garden, or no garden given she has plenty of opportunity to go outside for toilet breaks. Once she’s settled into the home, Melon could be left for around 4 hours if built up positively & gradually. Due to her age, Melon does take some daily medication, which potential adopters will be given the details of upon being matched to her. Melon will need to meet her adopters a couple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted. Gorgeous girl Melon is an 11-year-old Border Collie who, despite her age, still love to go out & explore, sniff and investigate everything! She is an easy-going, young-at-heart lady who enjoys sniffy adventures and snoozes on her bed in equal measure. She hasn’t shown any interest in playing with toys or chasing a ball. Between walks, she’s content just to watch the world go by and rest. She travels well in the car should you wish to take her on adventures further afield!
