Hän rakastaa leffa-levyä leluillaan, ja jos otat flirt-puun esiin, hänestä tulee sinun parhaasi ystävä ikuiseksi! Hän voi olla melko itsenäinen poika, mutta hän pitää kiinni huomiosta, hänen suosikkinsa ovat kourit ja takapohjan raapiminen, hän tulee lähemmäs tai hyppää sohvalle sinuun saadakseen lisää. Dexter is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He is a sweet and playful bean who could live with older secondary school children who are comfortable around a larger, clumsy dog, who will play with him nicely and will give him space to rest when needed. Dexter likes all of the attention to himself, so is looking to be the only pet in the home, he would benefit from being taken on walks in quieter, low dog populated areas as he is worried by other dogs, and so that he can enjoy his walks in peace. Dexter is a super clever guy and already has lots of training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit”, “touch”, “settle” and “crate”, he is currently learning “loose lead walking” and is already house trained and muzzle trained, as he will need to wear a muzzle and be on lead when out in public. He is eager to engage in training in short, sweet sessions as long as a tasty treat is on offer. He would like a home with a private, secure garden for him to have some off lead time pottering about in at his leisure. Dexter can settle nicely in the home, so could be left for up to 4 hours, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Dexter will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home with potential home visits to make sure he is settling in ok, so please bear all of this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted. Meet Dexter, the super playful and snuggly 3-and-a-half year old Collie cross with the softest heart and enough silly energy to light up a whole house. Playtime? Absolutely his favorite thing ever. Dexter is all about toys—he loves them all, but a teddy is top of the list. Fetch? Total favorite. He could literally play that all day if you let him! When it’s hot out, and the paddling pool is ready, Dexter is straight in there, dragging all his toys in for a splash party. He just wants everyone to have as much fun as him! At home, he’s a total star. Chill and content, Dexter will happily curl up with you on the sofa, squeezing in for some full-on cuddle time and smothering you with slobbery kisses. He’d love to curl up with you in bed, too, but if that’s not for you, no worries—he’ll be just as happy snoozing downstairs in his own spot.
