Dexter busca un hogar tranquilo y predecible en un área rural tranquila, con adoptantes activos que puedan llevarlo a muchas exploraciones, aventuras de olfateo en zonas de paseo tranquilas y le proporcionen todo el cuidado y atención que se merece. Puede vivir con niños de sexto curso/edad de universidad que jueguen bien con él y le den espacio para descansar cuando sea necesario. Dexter quiere ser el único animal en el hogar para que pueda disfrutar de toda la atención por sí mismo, puede estar muy nervioso con otros perros, por lo tanto preferiría hacer caminatas en zonas tranquilas para que pueda explorar en paz. Es un chico inteligente, ya tiene "siéntate", "toca", "relájate" y "entrenamiento en jaula" en su haber, también está entrenado para usar bozal ya que irá a casa con correa y bozal debido a su instinto de caza. Le encanta aprender más en sesiones cortas y dulces con la ayuda de un delicioso premio. Dexter necesita un hogar con un jardín privado y seguro con vallas altas para que pueda tener tiempo sin correa para pasear y jugar. Dexter se adapta bastante bien en el hogar y podría quedarse solo hasta 2-4 horas, esto necesitaría construirse lentamente una vez que haya tenido tiempo de adaptarse. Dexter necesitará conocer a sus adoptadores varias veces antes de irse a casa, así que tenga esto en cuenta al aplicar. Tenga en cuenta que si es seleccionado, nuestro proceso de reubicación suele tomar hasta 7 días, y los posibles adoptantes deberían ir al centro a conocerlo dentro de las 48 horas de ser seleccionados. Juega con muñecos y otros juguetes, pero si hay una pelota disponible entonces atrapar es el mejor juego de todos! Lo ama tanto que jugaría todo el día si pudiera. Le encanta jugar a encontrarlo con sus juguetes y si sacas el palo de seducción estará siendo tu mejor amigo para siempre! Puede ser un chico bastante independiente, pero le gusta recibir atención, las caricias en la cabeza y la espalda son sus favoritas, se acercará o saltará al sofá contigo para más. Este fantástico y guapo chico está listo para encontrar su nuevo hogar!

Dexter is looking for a calm and predictable home in a quiet, rural area, with active adopters who can take him on lots of exploring, sniffy adventures in quiet walking areas and will provide him with all the care and attention he deserves. He can live with sixth form/college aged children who will play nicely with him and give him space to rest when needed. Dexter would like to be the only pet in the home so he can enjoy all of the attention to himself, he can be very worried by other dogs so would prefer to go on walks in quiet walking areas so he can explore in peace. He is a clever lad, he already has ‘sit’, 'touch', 'settle' and 'crate training' in the in the bag, he is also muzzled trained as he will be going home on a lead and muzzle disclaimer for his prey drive. He is happy to learning more in short, sweet sessions with the help of a tasty treat. Dexter needs a home with a private, secure garden with high fencing so he can have time off lead to potter around and play. Dexter settles quite nicely in the home and could be left for up to 2-4 hours, this would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle in. Dexter will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home, so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted. Fun loving lad Dexter is a 3 year old Kelpie cross Collie who really enjoys a game of fetch. He will play with teddies and other toys, but if there is a ball available then fetch is the best game ever! He loves it so much that he would play all day if he could. He loves to play a game of find its with his toys and if you get the flirt pole out he will be your best friend forever! He can be quite an independent boy, but does like a fuss, head and back scratches are his favourite, he will lean in or jump onto the sofa with you for more. This fantastic and handsome boy is ready to find his new home!
