Dexter está à procura de um lar tranquilo e previsível em uma área rural calma, com adotantes ativos que possam levá-lo a muitas aventuras de exploração e cheiradas em áreas de caminhada calmas e que lhe ofereçam todo o cuidado e atenção que merece. Ele pode viver com crianças com idade para o ensino médio/curso superior que brinquem bem com ele e lhe deem espaço para descansar quando necessário. Dexter gostaria de ser o único animal de estimação no lar para poder aproveitar toda a atenção só para si, ele pode ficar muito ansioso com outros cães, por isso prefere fazer caminhadas em áreas de caminhada calmas para explorar em paz. Ele é um rapaz esperto, já tem 'sentar', 'tocar', 'acalmar' e 'treinamento de gaiola' na manga, também está treinado para usar coleira de contenção pois irá para casa com guia e coleira de contenção devido ao seu instinto de caça. Ele gosta de aprender mais em sessões curtas e doces com a ajuda de um delicioso petisco. Dexter precisa de um lar com jardim privado e seguro com cerca alta para que ele possa andar solto para se movimentar e brincar. Dexter se acalma bastante no lar e pode ficar sozinho por até 2-4 horas, isso precisa ser construído gradualmente após ele ter tempo para se adaptar. Dexter precisará conhecer seus adotantes várias vezes antes de ir para casa, por favor considere isso ao se candidatar. Observe que, caso você seja selecionado, nosso processo de reabertura leva até 7 dias, e os potenciais adotantes serão obrigados a vir ao centro para conhecê-lo dentro de 48 horas da seleção. Ele brinca com ursinhos e outros brinquedos, mas se houver uma bola disponível, o jogo de pegar é o melhor jogo de todos! Ele ama tanto que brincaria o dia todo se pudesse. Ele adora brincar de "onde está" com seus brinquedos e se tirar o bastão de flirt ele será seu melhor amigo para sempre! Ele pode ser um garoto bastante independente, mas gosta de carinho, arranhões na cabeça e nas costas são seus preferidos, ele se inclina ou pula no sofá com você para mais. Este ótimo e bonito menino está pronto para encontrar seu novo lar!

Dexter is looking for a home with loving and active adopters who can take him on sniffy adventures, who will take the time to help him settle in and give him all the love and attention he deserves. He is a sweet and playful bean who could live with older secondary school children who are comfortable around a larger, clumsy dog, who will play with him nicely and will give him space to rest when needed. Dexter likes all of the attention to himself, so is looking to be the only pet in the home, he would benefit from being taken on walks in quieter, low dog populated areas as he is worried by other dogs, and so that he can enjoy his walks in peace. Dexter is a super clever guy and already has lots of training under his belt, he does a lovely “sit”, “touch”, “settle” and “crate”, he is currently learning “loose lead walking” and is already house trained and muzzle trained, as he will need to wear a muzzle and be on lead when out in public. He is eager to engage in training in short, sweet sessions as long as a tasty treat is on offer. He would like a home with a private, secure garden for him to have some off lead time pottering about in at his leisure. Dexter can settle nicely in the home, so could be left for up to 4 hours, any leaving time would need to be built up slowly once he has had time to settle into his new home. Dexter will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home with potential home visits to make sure he is settling in ok, so please bear all of this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted. Dexter is all about toys—he loves them all, but a teddy is top of the list. Fetch? Total favorite. He could literally play that all day if you let him! When it’s hot out, and the paddling pool is ready, Dexter is straight in there, dragging all his toys in for a splash party. He just wants everyone to have as much fun as him! At home, he’s a total star. Chill and content, Dexter will happily curl up with you on the sofa, squeezing in for some full-on cuddle time and smothering you with slobbery kisses. He’d love to curl up with you in bed, too, but if that’s not for you, no worries—he’ll be just as happy snoozing downstairs in his own spot.
