Présentons notre adorable Lola ! Lola est une véritable personnalité et nécessitera un foyer très compréhensif et patient pour s'occuper de cette dame dramatique et pleine d'énergie. Elle recherche un foyer rural avec un jardin sécurisé et privé qui lui offrira une zone sûre et calme pour courir et explorer. Elle aura besoin d'être dans un foyer où les personnes sont présentes la plupart du temps, bien que nous croyions qu'elle puisse rester seule pendant de courts moments une fois installée. Lola ne peut actuellement pas faire de promenades et nous travaillons encore sur l'habituation à la harnais et à la laisse. Cela devra continuer à la maison et nous espérons qu'une fois installée dans une nouvelle maison, elle pourra commencer à faire des promenades dans des zones très calmes tout en développant progressivement sa confiance - mais cela ne doit pas être précipité ! Lola a son opinion sur tout et bien qu'elle cherche parfois l'affection de ses soigneurs et de ses personnes favorites et apprécie un coup de main, elle n'aime souvent pas l'affection et peut devenir confuse, donc elle aura besoin d'une famille compréhensive qui respectera ce que Lola veut et ne lui imposera pas l'affection. Elle a peur chez le vétérinaire et nécessitera un collier de sécurité pour l'assistance vétérinaire afin de garder tout le monde en sécurité. Elle peut être anxieuse face aux nouvelles personnes lors de leur première rencontre, mais généralement elle se réchauffe après quelques rencontres et sera plus à l'aise avec elles. Lola DOIT vivre dans un foyer uniquement composé d'adultes et il ne devrait y avoir aucun enfant visitant le foyer. Elle a montré qu'elle est bonne avec d'autres chiens jusqu'à présent, donc nous croyons qu'elle pourrait faire des amitiés canines pour l'aider à développer sa confiance. Nous allons la mélanger à un autre chien sur place bientôt, donc nous mettrons à jour son évaluation prochainement si nous pensons qu'elle pourra vivre avec un autre chien. Lola fera un excellent compagnon pour la bonne personne, dans l'environnement adéquat, mais aura besoin de plus de formation et de travail dans sa maison pour toujours. Elle est joueuse et aime jouer avec des jouets et elle initie souvent le jeu toute seule, surtout lorsqu'elle fait des sauts !

Introducing our Lovely Lola! Lola is quite a character and will require an understanding and patient home to take on this dramatic and zoomie-prone lady. She is looking for a rural or semi-rural home with a secure, private garden that will provide a safe and quiet area for her to zip around in and explore. She will need to be in a home where people are around most of the day, although we do believe she will be okay to be left for short periods of time once she is settled. Lola is currently undergoing harness and lead training as she was unable to wear either of these when she first arrived in our care. She is doing very well with this and is now able to be walked around our site by her carers. This training will need continuing in the home and we are hopeful that once settled in a new house she will be able to begin walks in very quiet areas while she gradually builds confidence. Lola builds strong bonds with people she spends lots of time with and has become very affectionate with her favourite carers. Adopters may need to spend some time building up that bond with Lola. She lets us know when she wants to go off and do her own thing, and that’s ok! She can be anxious of new people when initially meeting them but will typically warm up after a few meets and be more comfortable around them. Due to her initially anxious disposition, Lola will need to live in an adult only home without any visiting children. She is quite worried in the vets and has been learning how to wear a muzzle so her vet visits can be less stressful for her and her vets! She has shown to be good with other dogs so far. She can be a bit ‘rude’ initially but respects other dogs boundaries and space and is happy to mooch around with them. Making some dog friends will assist in building her confidence, so she could possibly be rehomed with another dog of similar size pending a successful introduction. Lola will make a fantastic companion for the right person, in the right environment but will require further training in her forever home. She enjoys playing with toys and will often initiate play by herself especially when zooming! If you feel that you can offer this wonderful lady her forever home, we would love to hear from you!
