Meet Nick, a sensitive and sweet Saluki boy of 6 years. When he first arrived, Nick was scared and wary of people, but in his foster home he has slowly begun to come out of his shell, enjoying sniffs, snacks, and snuggles with his favourite humans. Nick is still finding life a little overwhelming, so he’ll need a calm, patient, and understanding family to help him continue building confidence. He gains reassurance from other dogs and would benefit from living with a calm, confident canine companion to help him feel secure. He is doing well with house training in his foster home, though he may need some support when settling into a new environment. Some household noises can still be a little worrying for him, but he is slowly growing in confidence every day. Nick could potentially live with children aged 14+ who are respectful of his shy nature and happy to give him space when needed. With the right home and gentle guidance, this sweet boy will truly flourish. A message from Nick’s foster family: “Our loveliest, sweet, gentle, shy and beautiful boy! My favourite thing he's liked to do recently is sitting down in the meadow enjoying the breeze through his fur. He's not just a pretty face!
