18-04-26 Cloe est une petite fille très inquiète qui nous a été amenée par un environnement de reproduction et n'est pas encore à l'aise avec le toucher. Il est clair qu'elle a eu très peu d'expériences de gentillesse, donc elle peut être assez timide et paniquer si approchée trop rapidement et peut prendre la mauvaise décision si poussée hors de sa zone de confort. Cloe se calme rapidement une fois qu'elle se sent en sécurité et a déjà commencé à faire d'excellents progrès. Avec son membre du personnel favori, elle montre déjà son côté drôle et affectueux et est heureuse de s'approcher de lui, de lui embrasser les doigts et même de faire une petite danse excitée. Avec des adoptants patients et compréhensifs qui peuvent apprécier pourquoi elle peut avoir peur ou être défensive et qui la soutiennent alors qu'elle construit sa confiance, nous croyons qu'elle s'adaptera et commencera à sortir de sa coquille. Elle aura besoin d'un foyer calme et silencieux composé uniquement d'adultes, sans enfants visitant, et d'adoptants ayant de l'expérience avec des chiens ex-reproducteurs effrayés et qui seront disposés à lui offrir la patience, la gentillesse et le temps dont elle a besoin pour vraiment s'épanouir. Cloe commence déjà à vous approcher lentement selon ses propres termes, donc elle aura besoin de beaucoup de temps, d'encouragements doux et d'une attention supplémentaire pour continuer à renforcer sa confiance. Elle adore la compagnie d'autres chiens et aura besoin d'un chien résident bienveillant, calme et confiant dans sa nouvelle maison pour l'aider à s'adapter à la vie à la maison. Étant donné qu'elle n'a jamais vécu en famille auparavant, les adoptants de Cloe devront être bienveillants et compréhensifs pendant qu'elle s'installe et apprend tout sur la vie en famille et des nouvelles compétences comme l'entraînement à la maison. Elle ne marche pas encore en laisse et en harnais et aura besoin de pratiquer autour de la maison et du jardin une fois qu'elle sera plus à l'aise avec le toucher. Cloe a eu 7 dents extraites lors de sa stérilisation ainsi qu'une hernie inguinale réparée. Elle avait une tumeur sur le bord supérieur de son œil droit qui a été retirée. Cloe dispose d'un document de voyage. Ce chien peut être adopté avec un chien résident.

Cloe is a very worried little lady who has come to us from a breeder and is still learning that people can be kind. It is clear she has had very little positive experience with humans in the past, and as a result she finds trust incredibly difficult. She can be flighty when worried and may choose to protect herself if she feels pressured or uncomfortable. Cloe is a sweet but complex girl who has already shown us that, once she truly trusts someone, she has a wonderfully affectionate side. Although progress has been slow, it has also been incredibly rewarding. She now greets her favourite carers every morning with an excited waggy tail and is trying her absolute hardest to be brave around the people she trusts. She has made lovely progress with handling and has recently enjoyed a full groom. Cloe was an absolute angel throughout, allowing herself to be groomed beautifully. She has also recently been bathed and gently dried, taking it all in her stride. These may seem like small achievements, but for a little dog who once found human contact so frightening, they are huge milestones. We have also discovered that being picked up is only scary for Cloe at first. Once she is safely in someone's arms, she relaxes completely and allows herself to be handled without fuss. We truly believe that, with continued patience and positive experiences, this fear will continue to fade and she will become even more confident. Cloe has also recently started her harness training. Although she is still a little too timid to venture out on walks just yet, she is making a fantastic start and we are confident that, with a little more time and encouragement, she will soon be ready to begin exploring the world beyond the rescue. Cloe will need a calm, quiet, adult-only home with no visiting children and adopters who have experience of very worried ex-breeding dogs. Her new family will need to understand that building a relationship with her will take time and that the best way to win her trust is to allow her to approach on her own terms, without rushing or placing expectations on her. She absolutely loves the company of other dogs and will need a kind, calm and confident resident dog in her new home. Having a canine friend gives her comfort and reassurance and will help guide her as she learns about life beyond the rescue. We have also discovered that Cloe is not comfortable around cats and can become quite fixated by them, so she will need a cat-free home. As she has never lived in a home before, Cloe's adopters will need to be patient as she learns about house training and everyday routines. Progress with Cloe may never be fast, but she proves time and time again that she is willing to try for the people she trusts. We are incredibly hopeful for Cloe's future. She has already come so much further than we ever imagined possible in the rescue environment, and we truly believe she will flourish in a patient, understanding home. She simply needs someone willing to take a chance on her, give her all the time she needs, and let her discover that the world isn't such a scary place after all. Cloe has had seven teeth extracted at the time of her spay, as well as an inguinal hernia repaired. She also had a lump removed from her right upper eyelid. Cloe has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.
