Ce charmant gentleman s'appelle Jack-dee, il est grand, sombre et séduisant et a environ 4 à 5 ans. Il a un tempérament très doux, Jack-dee s'est bien adapté à son nouvel environnement. Il a exploré avec ses nouveaux amis, profitant des reniflements et prenant tout cela en compte. Jack-dee est un véritable gentleman, il a de bonnes manières au collier et n'est pas dérangé par les chiens qui passent. Jack-dee n'est pas encore très habitué au trafic routier, mais il aime regarder et s'arrêter près des fourgons stationnés. On peut supposer qu'il a vécu une vie semi-rurale éloignée des zones urbaines. Sa confiance augmente chaque jour, en marchant le long des zones très fréquentées et en étant récompensé pour sa bravoure. Il se blottit contre vous pour obtenir un réconfort quand il se sent un peu submergé dans des situations incertaines. Avec le soutien de ses nouveaux maîtres et un foyer aimant, ce garçon prospérera. Étant un lurcher, on imagine que Jack-dee apprécierait d'avoir accès à un champ clôturé quelques fois par semaine pour courir en toute sécurité. Il bénéficierait de cours d'éducation pour continuer à développer sa confiance, une fois qu'il sera bien installé dans sa nouvelle vie. Jack-dee pourrait potentiellement vivre avec des enfants de plus de 10 ans qui respectent son espace. Il pourrait éventuellement vivre avec une chienne lurcher robuste de taille similaire. Tout dépendra des présentations au centre.

Tall, dark and incredibly handsome, Jack dee is approximately 4–5 years old and has the softest, gentlest soul. Since arriving with us he has settled beautifully into his new surroundings, taking comfort in kind people, quiet reassurance and little adventures with his new friends. Jack dee loves being out exploring the world at his own pace, taking in all the sniffs and enjoying the simple things in life. He has also spent time in foster where he settled wonderfully, showing just how much love he has to give once he feels safe. Like many dogs who have experienced abandonment, Jack dee can struggle at times with being left alone and can be reactive on lead when feeling worried. His foster has been working hard on this and he is already making lovely progress. He just needs patient humans who understand that trust, confidence and security take time to grow. Busy roads and traffic are still quite overwhelming for him and we believe he may have previously lived a quieter semi rural life. Despite this, Jack dee is trying so hard every single day. He bravely walks near busier areas, checking in with his humans for comfort and reassurance when he feels unsure. One of the sweetest things about him is how he gently leans in for cuddles when he needs a little confidence boost. Underneath it all is a loving, sensitive boy who simply wants to feel safe and loved. With kindness, routine and continued encouragement, Jack dee is going to absolutely blossom in the right home. As a lurcher, Jack dee would adore access to a secure enclosed field where he can stretch his legs, run freely and enjoy life the way lurchers do best. He would also benefit from ongoing training classes once settled to continue building his confidence and social skills. Jack dee could potentially live with respectful children aged 10+ and may also suit living with a calm, robust female lurcher of a similar size. All introductions will take place at the centre.
