Un grand voix et une personnalité encore plus grande. Bonjour Ringo, notre hilarant nouveau âne étalon qui est venu nous d'une autre île ! Son voisin était tellement inquiet qu'il soit dans une situation difficile, avec son ami Palomino, qu'elle a négocié et payé pour les faire sortir et les amener en toute sécurité chez nous. Ringo a seulement 5 ans et n'avait jamais vécu avec d'autres ânes auparavant, donc actuellement il séjourne avec nos poneys et apprend beaucoup de nouvelles choses. Il a déjà été castré et la récupération a été très difficile, honnêtement cela a été un passage critique en raison d'infections et de abcès, mais il a pris un tournant et s'est finalement rétabli magnifiquement. Comme les étalons matures peuvent prendre un certain temps pour que leurs hormones et leur comportement s'apaisent, nous lui donnons quelques mois pour s'adapter pleinement avant qu'il ne rejoigne notre gang d'ânes. Pour l'instant, il gagne la confiance et les connaissances des humains afin qu'il puisse faire des promenades et profiter de sa nouvelle vie heureuse. C'est un personnage énorme (et très, très bruyant !) et nous sommes enthousiastes à l'idée de le voir évoluer en devenant membre du troupeau ici au refuge.

A big voice and an even bigger personality. Say hello to Ringo, our hilarious new stallion donkey who came to us from another island! His neighbour was so worried about him being in a difficult situation, along with his friend Palomino, that she negotiated and paid to get them out and brought safely to us. Ringo is only 5 and had never lived with other donkeys before, so at the moment he’s staying with our ponies and learning lots of new things. He’s already been castrated and it was a very difficult recovery, honestly it was touch and go due to infections and abscesses, but he has turned a corner and eventually recovered beautifully. Because mature stallions can take a while for their hormones and behaviour to settle, we’re giving him a few months to fully adjust before he joins our donkey gang. For now he is gaining trust and knowledgeable from humans so he can go out walking and enjoy his new happy life. He’s a huge, funny character (and very, very loud!) and we’re excited to watch his journey as he becomes part of the herd here at the sanctuary.
