Sonny est un magnifique lévrier, un mélange merveilleux d'habitudes souvent calmes mais également très énergiques et joueurs. Il est très sympathique avec les gens, en particulier ceux qui ont des friandises et un garçon confiant lors de ses promenades. Sonny est content d'aborder d'autres chiens et de se présenter, mais une fois qu'il a terminé, il passe à autre chose. Nous conseillons toujours de faire attention autour des races plus petites avec les anciens courses car leur instinct est de courir après tout ce qui est petit et rapide. Sonny porte un collier de sécurité lors de ses promenades, comme la plupart des lévriers, et cela lui est familier depuis toujours. Il n'a pas beaucoup d'intérêt pour les jouets, il est certainement plus un chien gourmand et devrait probablement être nourri loin des autres chiens car il peut devenir envahissant. Sonny s'excite très facilement et devient bête et absurde lorsqu'il est dans cet état, donc faites attention qu'il ne vous fasse pas tomber quand les "zoomies" commencent ! Sonny peut vivre avec d'autres lévriers et des chiens plus grands ainsi qu'avec des adolescents. Il a passé sa vie dans un environnement de chenil, alors soyez patients pendant qu'il s'habitue à l'entraînement aux chiottes et à passer du temps seul à l'intérieur.

Sonny is a fantastic Greyhound, a brilliant mix of typically laid back and cuddly but also wonderfully energetic and playful. He's very friendly with people, particularly those with nibbles and a confident boy when out on his walks, although he seems worried when there are strangers in the house. Sonny is happy to approach other dogs and introduce himself, but then once he's done he'll move on., and he doesn't bother if a dog is barking at him from a garden when he's out walking. We always advise for care to be taken around smaller breeds with ex racers as their instinct is to chase anything small and fast moving, but he has walked past cats and birds without so much as a glance. Sonny does wear a muzzle on his walks, like most Greyhounds, and this is something he's always been used to. He doesn't show much interest in toys, he's definitely more of a foody boy and should probably be fed away from other dogs as he can get pushy about it. Sonny gets excited very easily and becomes goofy and daft when he's on one, so watch he doesn't knock you off your feet when the zoomies kick in! Sonny can live with other Greyhounds and larger dogs and children of high school age. He has been spending weekends in a foster home and has shown to be house trained, and he was good when spending a little time alone after a walk. Sonny travels well in the car.
