Elvis è arrivato da noi molto giovane. E ha vissuto abbastanza a lungo nel cabinet vet, dove faceva la sua danza nella gabbia, e mangiava come se non ci fosse un domani, e poi ballava di nuovo. Mentre era nel cabinet vet, fino a quando ha completato le sue vaccinazioni, indossava il guinzaglio e usciva per passeggiate per socializzare, e conoscere il mondo, i suoi odori e i suoi rumori. Più tardi è arrivato al rifugio, dove vive con altri cuccioli, e ora dopo aver ricevuto tutte le sue vaccinazioni, è iniziato a uscire normalmente per passeggiate. Ha vissuto in una casa per un mese quando aveva circa sette mesi, era pulito, buono nelle passeggiate, e aveva imparato la gabbia. È un cane che è stato addestrato fin da molto giovane e ha imparato tutto ciò che un cane può imparare in un rifugio: camminare al guinzaglio, comandi base, ecc. È estremamente collaborativo e obbediente con la persona che l'ha addestrato e a cui si fida, ma non è particolarmente amichevole con gli estranei. Elvis came to us when he was very young. A tiny little creature with two shiny bead-like eyes. He spent quite some time at the veterinary clinic, eating as if there were no tomorrow and then seeking everyone's attention over and over again. While he was staying at the clinic and completing his vaccination schedule, he wore his harness and went on short outings in our arms so he could begin socializing and getting familiar with the world, its smells, and its sounds. Later, he moved to the shelter, where he lived alongside other puppies and, once fully vaccinated, started going on regular walks. When he was around seven months old, he spent a month in a home environment. During that time, he learned to toilet outside, walked nicely on a leash, and became crate trained. Elvis has been carefully guided and worked with from a very young age and knows everything a shelter dog can realistically learn: walking on a leash, basic commands, and how to navigate the outside world. He is extremely cooperative and obedient with people he knows well and trusts, but he is not particularly comfortable around strangers. He does not enjoy meeting new people on walks or being petted by unfamiliar individuals, and he is not friendly toward strangers entering his home. However, he gets along well with other dogs and cats. Elvis needs time to build trust and feel comfortable around new people. He shows no signs of aggression whatsoever, but he is cautious and will not tolerate intrusive handling from someone he has not yet learned to trust. He would thrive in a home with a predictable routine, without a large family or a constant flow of visitors. Elvis is the kind of dog who will form a deep bond with his people, provided he receives basic training and clear, consistent guidance, allowing him to settle into a home and live harmoniously as part of a family.
