Martina aveva vissuto per strada in una città e era in abbastanza cattive condizioni. Una signora che la nutriva ha chiesto a uno dei nostri canili partner di aiutarla e alla fine sono riusciti a catturarla poiché era l'unica via per prenderla. Quando è arrivata per la prima volta era molto timida, ma si è davvero migliorata. Anche se può ancora essere un po' sospettosa, con le persone che conosce e a cui si fida, si vede che la sua fiducia inizia a brillare e esce il suo lato affettuoso. Ha una buona quantità di curiosità che spesso è un segno distintivo di come un podenco potrebbe progredire in una casa. È ottima con altri cani, maschi e femmine, e si adatterebbe bene con altri cani in casa. Pensiamo anche che potrebbe andare bene come unico cane in casa, ma ogni adopter dovrà riconoscere che avrà bisogno di un po' di tempo e pazienza. In generale è una ragazza meravigliosa che merita veramente una casa. Ha momenti bellissimi e spensierati quando corre e gioca con gli altri cani. Potrebbe vivere con bambini più grandi rispettosi, e anche se non ha bisogno di un giardino, preferirebbe non stare nel centro città. Martina è sterilizzata, vaccinata e testata negativa per tutte le malattie mediterranee esclusa l'Ehrlichia per cui ha già ricevuto trattamento, quindi possiamo rifare il test per ottenere il tutto chiaro. Martina had been living on the streets for some town and was in quite a bad state. A lady who was feeding her asked one of our partner kennels for help and they eventually managed to trap her as it was the only way to catch her. When she first arrived she was very fearful, but has really improved. Whilst she can still be a little suspicious, with people she knows and trusts, you see her confidence start to shine and her affectionate streak comes out. She has a good amount of curiosity which is often a hallmark for how well a podenco might progress in a home. She is great with other dogs both male and female and would do well with other dogs in the home. We do also think she would be OK as an only dog in the home, but any adopter would need to recognise that she will take a little bit of time and patience. Overall she is a lovely girl who is very deserving of a home. She has some lovely carefree moments when she is running and playing with the other dogs. She could live with older respectful children, and whilst she doesn’t need a garden, would prefer not to be in a city centre. Martina is neutered, vaccinated and tested negative for all Mediterranean diseases excluding Ehrlichia which she has already received treatment for, so we can retest for the all clear.
