Ciao! Sono Jasper, un piccolo Shih Tzu sensibile e intelligente che cerca una casa tranquilla, con persone esperte e adulte, dove mi sento sicuro e compreso. Sono un dolce cane da avere intorno quando la vita è tranquilla. Mi piace stare vicino alla mia persona, girovagare per la casa e rilassarmi una volta che mi sento a mio agio. Mi piace la routine e la prevedibilità, e sono più felice quando tutto sembra tranquillo e stabile. Formo legami forti con le mie persone e mi piace trascorrere del tempo insieme, soprattutto in modo discreto. Sono un bravo ragazzo che ama imparare cose nuove e rispondo bene quando le cose vengono gestite con dolcezza e costanza. A volte troppa manipolazione o attenzione mi possono sovrastimolare e in passato ho reagito con un morso quando mi sentivo a disagio. Gestisco meglio un approccio calmo e distante e una persona che capisce il linguaggio corporeo dei cani e rispetta il mio spazio. Non sono un cane per sederti in grembo, ma creo un legame davvero speciale con la persona giusta, basato sulla fiducia, sulla pazienza e sulla comprensione. Avrò bisogno di essere l'unico animale domestico in casa, poiché non mi sento a mio agio con altri cani, e mi sarebbe utile avere aree tranquille per le passeggiate o un giardino sicuro dove posso rilassarmi senza troppe attività intorno. Una casa tranquilla con pochi visitatori mi aiuterebbe a sentirmi stabile, poiché gli ambienti affollati possono essere sovrastanti per me. Sto ancora imparando che è okay essere lasciato solo, quindi avrò bisogno di supporto e pazienza su questo. Con la persona giusta, sono un cane davvero gratificante da vivere - ho solo bisogno di qualcuno che mi capisca e sia felice di procedere al mio ritmo. Hello! I’m Jasper, a sensitive and intelligent little Shih Tzu looking for a calm, experienced, adult-only home where I can feel safe and understood. I’m a lovely little dog to have around when life is quiet. I enjoy being near my person, pottering about the house, and settling down once I feel comfortable. I like routine and predictability, and I’m happiest when everything feels calm and steady. I form strong bonds with my people and really enjoy spending time together, especially in a low-key way. I’m a bright boy who enjoys learning new things and I respond well when things are kept gentle and consistent. I can find too much handling or attention overwhelming at times, and in the past I’ve reacted by snapping when I’ve felt uncomfortable. I cope much better with a calm, hands-off approach and someone who understands dog body language and will respect my space. I’m not your typical lap dog, but I build a really special bond with the right person, based on trust, patience and understanding. I would need to be the only pet in the home, as I’m not comfortable around other dogs, and I’d benefit from quiet walking areas or a secure garden where I can relax without too much going on around me. A calm home with very few visitors will help me feel settled, as busy environments can be overwhelming for me. I’m also still learning that it’s okay to be left alone, so I’ll need some support and patience with this. With the right person, I’m a really rewarding little dog to live with - I just need someone who understands me and is happy to go at my pace.
