Mr. Bean is een midden grote kruisbries met een leeftijd van 3 jaar (geboren juli 2022). Heeft de katentest gehaald. Heeft een resident hond nodig. Respectvolle kinderen van 12 of ouder. Mr. Bean kwam bij de Botosani openbare dierenasiel met zijn moeder en broertjes en zusjes toen hij nog een klein pupje was. De rest van zijn familie werd allemaal geadopteerd, maar hij werd niet gekozen en zo groeide hij op in het asiel. Hij is nu in een UK tijdelijke thuis en leert over het leven buiten een kooi. Hij is sinds juni in zijn huidige tijdelijke thuis. Hoewel het even duurde voordat hij warm ging voor zijn tijdelijke ouders, begrijpt hij nu dat mensen niets te vrezen zijn en leert hij om te vertrouwen. Hij is een knappe en grappige persoonlijkheid in het gezin, die we denken meer een kat is dan een hond. Hij houdt ervan op meubels te klimmen en past zichzelf in de smalle plekken. Als je op een stoel zit voor één persoon, geloof maar dat hij probeert erbij te passen. Hij is erg bereid om te helpen en zal gewoon door moeten gaan met ervaring te krijgen als hij naar zijn eeuwige huis verhuist. Hij heeft het goed met andere honden en heeft een andere hondencomedean nodig om met te wonen. Hij is niet gestoord door katten, dus kan ook met katten leven. Hij kan aanvankelijk aarzelen met mensen die hij niet kent vanwege het gebrek aan menselijke interactie in zijn vroege jaren, maar hij verbetert hier dagelijks en heeft al gevraagd om gestreeld te worden door mensen waar hij zich comfortabel bij voelt. Onlangs liet hij zelfs toe dat vreemden hem streelden die we tijdens een wandeling ontmoetten – bewijs dat hij veel verder is gekomen dan de timide, afgesloten hond die hij ooit was. Hij zal graag in dezelfde kamer blijven als zijn tijdelijke ouders en houdt ervan op hun bed te slapen, maar is ook kooigetraind en voelt zich er goed bij. Hij houdt van wandelingen en loopt wonderbaarlijk op de riem en blijft bij de voet. Zodra hij jou kent en je zijn vertrouwen hebt veroverd, komt zijn karakter tot uitdrukking. Hij is een liefdevolle jongen die zowel geeft als ontvangt als hij jou kent. Mr. Bean prefereert een rustiger gezin zodat hij zich ontspannen en niet op zijn hoede kan voelen, daarom kan hij met respectvolle kinderen van 12 of ouder leven. Hij is een fijne persoonlijkheid die alle liefde verdient nu hij eindelijk uit het asiel is. Mr. Bean heeft zijn katentest gehaald. Mr. Bean is ondergebracht bij Norwich Norfolk. Als u geïnteresseerd bent, stuur dan bericht of bel tussen 9:00 en 17:00 maandag tot vrijdag of tussen 9:00 en 16:00 zaterdag. Het adoptiekostenbedrag is Puppies al gesteriliseerd en alle volwassen honden: £430. Niet-gesteriliseerde pups op een kastratiecontract: £530 (u krijgt een terugbetaling van £100 als u ons bewijs van castratie stuurt). Oudere honden (10+ jaren): £150–£250 (afhankelijk van leeftijd en individuele behoeften). ADOPTIE VOORWAARDEN En WOONVOORWAARDE: Wanneer u een hond van Safe Rescue adopteert, MOET u een slipriem gebruiken. Dit houdt uw hond veilig: uw nieuwe hond zal nerveus zijn en u niet vertrouwen en u weet niet welke situaties uw hond kunnen storen. Als uw hond in paniek raakt, is de slipriem de enige manier om te voorkomen dat uw hond ontsnapt (veel honden kunnen ontsnappen uit een halsband en/of vest). Het zal MINSTENS 3-6 maanden duren voordat uw hond zich heeft aangepast en u uw hond volledig kent (langer voor nervieuze honden). De slipriem moet TOTAAL gebruikt worden tijdens deze aanpassingsperiode. Zelfs naarmate uw hond zich heeft aangepast, is het veiligst om de slipriem te gebruiken in situaties waarin uw hond mogelijk bang wordt (bijvoorbeeld bij bezoeken aan nieuwe plekken, rond onbekende mensen, bij de dierenarts), en in situaties waar onverwachte triggers kunnen optreden (bijvoorbeeld rond vuurwerk). Nervieuze honden hoeven altijd een slipriem te dragen als back-up veiligheidsmaatregel. De slipriem is een veiligheidsdevice en mag NOOIT worden gebruikt als trainingstool. Het toepassen van druk op de hond's nek met de riem is schadelijk. Als uw hond aan de riem trekt, kunnen we u advies geven over trainingmethodes die geen schade veroorzaken. Nadat uw hond zich heeft aangepast, kunt u overwegen om een vest te gebruiken (tezamen met de slipriem) als uw hond comfortabel is met het dragen van het vest. De meeste vests zijn niet ontsnappingsbewijs, maar vesten met een riem achter de ribben (zoals Ruffwear Webmaster of Perfect Fit Vesten) zijn veiliger. Retractabele / uitbreidbare riemen mogen nooit worden gebruikt op onze honden. Geadopteerde honden moeten worden opgehaald uit het dierenasiel en rechtstreeks naar huis getransporteerd worden in een veilige metalen kooi. Mr. Bean is a medium sized crossbreed aged 3 years old (born July 2022). Passed Cat testing. Needs resident dog. Respectful children 12 plus Mr. Bean arrived at the Botosani public with his mum and siblings when he was a tiny pup. The rest of his family all got adopted but he wasn’t chosen and so he was left to grow up in the shelter. He is now in a UK foster home and learning about life outside of a pen. He has been in his current foster home since June and whilst it took him a while to warm up to his foster parents, he now understands that people are not something to be scared of and is learning to trust. He is a cute and comical character in the home who we believe thinks is more cat than dog, he loves to climb on furniture and will squeeze his way into the tight spots. If you’re sitting on a one-person chair, best believe he will try is luck to fit on there with you. He is super keen to please and will simply need to continue gaining experience when he moves in to his forever home. He gets on brilliantly with all other dogs, and having another canine companion to live with will do him wonders. He is unbothered when it comes to cats so is also able to live with them. He can be hand shy with those he does not know at first due to his lack of human interaction in his formative years but he is improving with this daily and has started to ask to be petted by those he is comfortable with. Recently, he has even allowed himself to be stroked by strangers we have met on a walk – proving that he has come a long way from the timid, shut down dog that he once was. He will happily settle in the same room as his fosterers and likes to sleep on their bed, but is also crate-trained and is fine in there too. He loves his walks and walks wonderfully on the lead and stays to heel. Once he gets to know you and you gain his trust, his character shines through. He is a loving boy who wants to both give and receive love once he gets to know you. Mr Bean would prefer a quieter household so he can feel relaxed and not on edge, for that reason he can live with respectful children aged 12 plus. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer.
