Mr. Bean è un incrocio di media taglia che ha 3 anni (nato a luglio 2022). Ha superato il test con i gatti. Ha bisogno di un cane convivente. Bambini rispettosi dai 12 anni in su. Mr. Bean è arrivato al rifugio pubblico di Botosani con sua madre e i suoi fratelli quando era un cucciolo molto piccolo. La maggior parte della sua famiglia è stata adottata ma lui non è stato scelto e quindi è cresciuto nel rifugio. Ora si trova in una casa di accoglienza nel Regno Unito e sta imparando la vita fuori dalla gabbia. È nella sua casa di accoglienza attuale da giugno e anche se ci è voluto un po' per abituarsi ai suoi genitori adottivi, ora capisce che le persone non sono qualcosa di cui avere paura e sta imparando a fidarsi. È un personaggio carino e buffo in casa, crediamo che pensi di essere più gatto che cane, ama arrampicarsi sui mobili e si infila in ogni angolo stretto. Se sei seduto su una sedia per una persona, sarai sicuro che proverà a mettersi lì con te. È molto desideroso di piacere e avrà semplicemente bisogno di continuare ad acquisire esperienza quando si trasferirà nella sua casa per sempre. Si intende molto bene con tutti gli altri cani e averne un altro compagno canino vivrà benissimo. Non si lascia disturbare dai gatti quindi può vivere anche con loro. Può essere timido con chi non conosce all’inizio a causa della mancanza di interazione umana nei primi anni ma sta migliorando ogni giorno e ha iniziato a chiedere di essere accarezzato da quelle persone con cui si sente a suo agio. Recentemente, ha addirittura permesso di essere accarezzato da estranei che abbiamo incontrato durante una passeggiata - dimostrando che è andato molto lontano dal cane timido e chiuso che una volta era. Siederà felicemente nella stessa stanza dei suoi genitori adottivi e ama dormire sul loro letto, ma è anche abituato alla gabbia e va bene lì. Adora le sue passeggiate e cammina perfettamente al guinzaglio e rimane al posto giusto. Una volta che conosce e guadagna la sua fiducia, il suo carattere si rivela. È un ragazzo dolce che vuole dare e ricevere amore una volta che vi conosce. Mr. Bean preferirebbe una casa tranquilla così da sentirsi rilassato e non teso, per questo motivo può vivere con bambini rispettosi dai 12 anni in su. Termini e condizioni per l'adozione Quando adotti un cane di Safe Rescue, DEVI utilizzare un guinzaglio a scorrimento. Questo terrà il tuo cane al sicuro: il tuo nuovo cane sarà ansioso e non ti farà fiducia, e non saprai quali situazioni potrebbero turbare il tuo cane. Se il tuo cane si spaventa, allora il guinzaglio a scorrimento è l'unica via per evitare che scappi (molti cani possono scappare da collari e/o finimenti). Ci vorranno ALMENO 3-6 mesi per farlo ambientare e conoscere completamente il tuo cane (più a lungo per i cani timidi). Il guinzaglio a scorrimento deve essere SEMPRE utilizzato durante il periodo di ambientamento. Anche dopo che il cane si è ambientato, è più sicuro utilizzare il guinzaglio a scorrimento in situazioni dove il cane potrebbe spaventarsi (es. visitare luoghi nuovi, vicino a persone sconosciute, dal veterinario), e in situazioni dove potrebbero verificarsi trigger imprevisti (es. intorno al night of bonfire). I cani timidi potrebbero dover indossare sempre il guinzaglio a scorrimento come misura di sicurezza aggiuntiva. Il guinzaglio a scorrimento è un dispositivo di sicurezza e mai deve essere utilizzato come strumento di addestramento. Applicare pressione sul collo del cane usando il guinzaglio è dannoso. Mr. Bean is a medium sized crossbreed aged 3 years old (born July 2022). Passed Cat testing. Needs resident dog. Respectful children 12 plus Mr. Bean arrived at the Botosani public with his mum and siblings when he was a tiny pup. The rest of his family all got adopted but he wasn’t chosen and so he was left to grow up in the shelter. He is now in a UK foster home and learning about life outside of a pen. He has been in his current foster home since June and whilst it took him a while to warm up to his foster parents, he now understands that people are not something to be scared of and is learning to trust. He is a cute and comical character in the home who we believe thinks is more cat than dog, he loves to climb on furniture and will squeeze his way into the tight spots. If you’re sitting on a one-person chair, best believe he will try is luck to fit on there with you. He is super keen to please and will simply need to continue gaining experience when he moves in to his forever home. He gets on brilliantly with all other dogs, and having another canine companion to live with will do him wonders. He is unbothered when it comes to cats so is also able to live with them. He can be hand shy with those he does not know at first due to his lack of human interaction in his formative years but he is improving with this daily and has started to ask to be petted by those he is comfortable with. Recently, he has even allowed himself to be stroked by strangers we have met on a walk – proving that he has come a long way from the timid, shut down dog that he once was. He will happily settle in the same room as his fosterers and likes to sleep on their bed, but is also crate-trained and is fine in there too. He loves his walks and walks wonderfully on the lead and stays to heel. Once he gets to know you and you gain his trust, his character shines through. He is a loving boy who wants to both give and receive love once he gets to know you. Mr Bean would prefer a quieter household so he can feel relaxed and not on edge, for that reason he can live with respectful children aged 12 plus. Adoption Terms & Conditions When you adopt a Safe Rescue dog, you MUST use a slip lead. This will keep your dog safe: your new dog will be nervous and will not trust you, and you will not know which situations might upset your dog. If your dog panics, then a slip lead is the only way to prevent your dog from escaping (many dogs can escape from a collar and/or harness). It will take AT LEAST 3-6 months for your dog to settle-in and for you to know your dog fully (longer for nervous dogs). The slip lead must ALWAYS be used during this settling-in period. Even after your dog is settled, it is safest to use the slip lead in situations where your dog may become scared (e.g. visiting new places, around unfamiliar people, at the vet), and it situations where unexpected triggers might happen (e.g. around bonfire night). Nervous dogs may always need to wear a slip-lead as a back-up safety measure. The slip lead is a safety device and must NEVER be used as a training tool. Using the lead to apply pressure to the dog’s neck is damaging. If your dog pulls on the lead, then we can advise you on training methods that avoid harm. Once your dog is settled, you may want to consider using a harness (together with the slip lead) if your dog is comfortable with being handled when it is fitted. Most harnesses are not escape-proof, but harnesses with a strap behind the ribcage (e.g. Ruffwear Webmaster or Perfect Fit Harnesses) are safer.
