Atualização 20.3.2026: então colocamos as malas dela e partimos para uma parte muito distante de Creta. Para a Irma, faríamos qualquer coisa! A visita à casa não passou no teste, então tivemos que trazê-la de volta conosco. Passamos muitas horas juntos naquele dia e aprendemos muito com ela. Veja, a Irma era uma máquina de reprodução, usada apenas para produzir outros Dobermans. Ela é um cão nervoso com muitos gatilhos que a levavam à loucura, tentando morder sua própria cauda. No abrigo, conseguimos controlar esse hábito. Naquele dia fora do abrigo, ela gostou da viagem de carro, amou a sensação de estar em uma casa, estava tão interessada em caminhar pelo vilarejo e mostrou um lado muito gentil e conectado. Algo que não tínhamos tido a oportunidade de experimentar no abrigo. Infelizmente, a pessoa interessada não foi compatível com ela. Seus problemas delicados não eram uma prioridade para eles, então tivemos que negar a adoção. Mas quebrava nosso coração trazê-la de volta para casa. A Irma é uma moça idosa gentil que sofre muito no abrigo. Ela adorou sua saída naquele dia e desejamos que ela encontre um humano gentil que a ouça e atenda às suas necessidades. Atualização 26.06.2024: A Irma é um Doberman puro, nascida em novembro de 2016. Sua história: Ela foi encontrada em Malaxa este verão, correndo com 35 graus de temperatura, sofrendo de exaustão pelo calor. Parece que ela foi usada para reproduzir filhotes e quando trouxeram uma nova fêmea para substituí-la, ela foi abandonada. Ela já foi esterilizada. A Irma tem leishmaniose. Claro que ela recebe seu medicamento. Aqui podes ler sobre a Leishmania. Esta doença é transmitida apenas por uma mosquito-de-areia. A Irma também tem um problema de ansiedade onde ela corre atrás de seu próprio rabo e rosnar, mas estamos trabalhando nisso com remédios naturais. Ela não é agressiva com humanos. Ela os ama e a atenção deles! ELA AMA SUA BOLA. Ela nunca teve a chance de ser filhote, e por isso está nos dando agora o comportamento de filhote, tão fofo! Ela é um pouco desconcertada quando se trata de carinho, mas ela ama! Pobre coitada nunca teve carinho antes. Adote esta bela criatura hoje. Gender: female Birthday: November 2016 Castrated/Neutered: yes Weight: 25kg Back story: Irma was found on the street in 2022, extremely exhausted from the heat. Description/Updates/Pictures: Update March 2026: The other day we thought we had a home for Irma… so we packed her bags and set off for a very distant part of Crete. For Irma, we would do anything! The housecheck did not pass the test so we had to bring her back with us. We spent many hours together that day and learned a lot from her. You see Irma was a breeding machine, used for nothing more than producing other Dobermans. She is a nervous dog with many triggers which would send her into a frenzy, attempting to bite her tail. At the shelter we had gotten that habit under control. That day out from the shelter she enjoyed the car ride, she loved the feel of a home, she was so interested in walking through the village and she showed a very gentle and connected side of herself. Something we had not had the chance to experience at the shelter. Unfortunately, the person interested was not a match for her. Her delicate issues were not a priority to them so we had to deny the adoption. But it broke our hearts bringing her back home. Irma is a kind senior girl who truly suffers at the shelter. She loved her getaway that day and we wish she will find a gentle human who will listen and cater to her needs. She loves to play ball and loves her treats, of course. If you feel you might be her person, please fill out an application. Update June 2024: She was found up in Malaxa this summer, running in 35 degree weather with heat exhaustion. It seems that she was used for breeding babies and when they got a new female to replace her, she was thrown out. She has been neutered since. Irma has leishmania. Of course, she gets her medication. Irma also has an anxiety issue where she chases her bum and growls but we are working on that with natural remedies. She is not aggressive towards humans. She loves them and their attention! SHE LOVES HER BALL. She never had a chance to be a puppy, and so she is giving us puppy now, so cute! She is a bit awkward when it comes to cuddles but she loves it! Poor thing never had cuddles before. Adopt this beautiful creature today. Irma will warm your heart at least once a day with her new discoveries and character.
