Aggiornamento 20.3.2026: quindi abbiamo fatto i bagagli e siamo partiti per una parte molto lontana della Grecia. Per Irma faremmo qualsiasi cosa! Il controllo in casa non ha superato il test, quindi abbiamo dovuto riportarla con noi. Abbiamo trascorso molte ore insieme quel giorno e abbiamo imparato molto da lei. Vedete, Irma era una macchina da allevamento, utilizzata solo per produrre altri Dobermann. È un cane nervoso con molti stimoli che la portavano in uno stato di frenesia, cercando di mordersi la coda. Al rifugio avevamo controllato questo comportamento. Quel giorno fuori dal rifugio ha apprezzato il viaggio in auto, amava il senso di casa, era molto interessata a camminare nel villaggio e ha mostrato un lato molto dolce e connesso di se stessa. Qualcosa che non avevamo avuto la possibilità di sperimentare al rifugio. Purtroppo, la persona interessata non era adatta a lei. I suoi problemi delicati non erano una priorità per loro, quindi abbiamo dovuto rifiutare l'adozione. Ma ci ha spezzato il cuore riportarla a casa. Irma è una ragazza anziana gentile che soffre davvero al rifugio. Ha amato quella sua uscita quel giorno e speriamo che trovi un umano dolce che la ascolti e soddisfi le sue esigenze. Le piace giocare con la palla e le piacciono i suoi snack, ovviamente. Se pensi di essere la persona giusta, compila un modulo di adozione. Grazie! Aggiornamento 26.06.2024: Irma è un Doberman puro, nata a novembre 2016. La sua storia: è stata trovata nella zona di Malaxa questo estate, correndo con temperature di 35 gradi con sintomi di ipertermia. Sembrerebbe che sia stata utilizzata per l'allevamento e quando hanno ottenuto una nuova femmina per sostituirla, è stata abbandonata. Da allora è stata castrata. Irma ha la leishmaniosi. Ovviamente riceve la sua medicazione. Qui potete leggere sulla leishmaniosi. Questa malattia viene trasmessa solo da una zanzara tigre. Irma ha anche un problema d'ansia dove insegue la sua coda e ringhia ma stiamo lavorando su questo con rimedi naturali. Non è aggressiva verso gli umani. Li ama e l'attenzione che riceve! LE PIACE LA SUA PALLA. Non ha mai avuto la possibilità di essere un cucciolo, e quindi ora ci sta dando un cucciolo, così carino! È un po' goffa quando si tratta di coccole ma le piace! Povera creatura non ha mai avuto coccole prima. Adotta questa bellissima creatura oggi. Irma scaldarà il tuo cuore almeno una volta al giorno con le sue nuove scoperte e personalità.

Update 20.3.2026: so we packed her bags and set off for a very distant part of Crete. For Irma, we would do anything! The housecheck did not pass the test so we had to bring her back with us. We spent many hours together that day and learned a lot from her. You see Irma was a breeding machine, used for nothing more than producing other Dobermans. She is a nervous dog with many triggers which would send her into a frenzy, attempting to bite her tail. At the shelter we had gotten that habit under control. That day out from the shelter she enjoyed the car ride, she loved the feel of a home, she was so interested in walking through the village and she showed a very gentle and connected side of herself. Something we had not had the chance to experience at the shelter. Unfortunately, the person interested was not a match for her. Her delicate issues were not a priority to them so we had to deny the adoption. But it broke our hearts bringing her back home. Irma is a kind senior girl who truly suffers at the shelter. She loved her getaway that day and we wish she will find a gentle human who will listen and cater to her needs. She loves to play ball and loves her treats, of course. Her story: She was found up in Malaxa this summer, running in 35 degree weather with heat exhaustion. It seems that she was used for breeding babies and when they got a new female to replace her, she was thrown out. She has been neutered since. Irma has leishmania. Of course, she gets her medication. Irma also has an anxiety issue where she chases her bum and growls but we are working on that with natural remedies. She is not aggressive towards humans. She loves them and their attention! SHE LOVES HER BALL. She never had a chance to be a puppy, and so she is giving us puppy now, so cute! She is a bit awkward when it comes to cuddles but she loves it! Poor thing never had cuddles before. Adopt this beautiful creature today. Irma will warm your heart at least once a day with her new discoveries and character.
