Ele está no nosso abrigo em Calvià há mais de três meses, nosso cão macho de seis anos, pastor alemão. Em dezembro ele foi entregue a nós junto com seu amigo cão Rusty (para o qual encontramos rapidamente um ótimo lar permanente na ilha) porque sua família saiu da ilha. Pedrin é um cão macho muito amigável e doce que não experimentou muita coisa na vida. Ele passou a maior parte do tempo em uma finca, mas com uma família e crianças. Infelizmente, não havia longas caminhadas ou atividades conjuntas, então Pedrin teve que aprender muitas coisas novas ou aprender coisas novas. Hoje podemos dizer que ele já fez muito bem. Ele adora fazer caminhadas juntos e já caminha bastante bem na coleira (desde que não haja grandes distrações) e podes perceber que ele é um pequeno cara inteligente que realmente gosta de aprender coisas novas sob a orientação certa e depois pode aplicar o que aprendeu. Mas claro, coisas assim certamente são negligenciadas aqui no abrigo. Sua paixão absoluta é bolas - Pedrin simplesmente não consegue ver nada além disso e quase não pode ser parado. Mas sempre de forma muito amigável. No entanto, estamos atualmente trabalhando para fazê-lo se concentrar em outras coisas. Pedrin adora exercício e atividade e ele realmente precisa de pessoas que apreciem isso e que façam muita coisa com ele. Claro, ele deve e quer ser membro pleno da família e crianças que já entendem cães não são problema algum. No entanto, elas devem já saber se comportar de maneira amigável com cães. Pedrin definitivamente não é apenas um cão de cidade para nós - ele deve viver o mais próximo possível da natureza e preferencialmente com um jardim. Gatos não devem estar em seu novo lar. Ele precisa aprender gradualmente como interagir com outros cães, pois nos últimos anos viveu exclusivamente com seu amigo Rusty e não teve muito contato com outros cães. Ele é um cão realmente ótimo e inteligente com muito potencial e realmente esperamos encontrar as pessoas certas para ele em breve.

He has been at our shelter in Calvià for over three months now, our six-year-old male German shepherd. In December he was handed over to us together with his dog buddy Rusty (for whom we quickly found a great permanent foster home on the island) because his family had left the island. Pedrin is a very friendly and sweet male dog who hasn’t really experienced much in his life. He spent most of his time on a finca, but with a family and children. Unfortunately, there were no long walks or joint activities, so Pedrin had to learn a lot of new things or learn new things. Today we can say that he has already done really well. He loves going for walks together and already walks quite well on the lead (as long as there are no major distractions) and you can tell that he’s a really smart little guy who really enjoys learning new things under the right guidance and can then put what he’s learned into practice. But of course, things like that are definitely neglected here at the shelter. His absolute passion is balls – Pedrin really can’t see anything else and can hardly be stopped. But always in a very friendly way. However, we are currently working on getting him to focus on other things. Pedrin loves exercise and activity and he really needs people who enjoy this and who do a lot with him. Of course, he should and wants to be a full member of the family and children who already understand dogs are no problem at all. However, they should already be able to behave in a dog-friendly manner. Pedrin is definitely not just a city dog for us – he should be allowed to live as close to nature as possible and preferably with a garden. Cats should not be in his new home. He needs to gradually learn how to interact with other dogs, as he has lived exclusively with his buddy Rusty for the last few years and hasn’t really had much contact with other dogs. He is a really great and clever dog with lots of potential and we really hope that we will find the right people for him very soon.
