Adoptar a Pedrin

Lleva más de tres meses en nuestro refugio en Calvià, nuestro macho pastor alemán de seis años. En diciembre fue entregado a nosotros junto con su amigo perro Rusty (para quien encontramos rápidamente un excelente hogar temporal permanente en la isla) porque su familia había dejado la isla. Pedrin es un macho muy amable y dulce que no ha experimentado mucho en su vida. Pasó la mayor parte de su tiempo en una finca, pero con una familia y niños. Lamentablemente, no hubo largos paseos ni actividades conjuntas, por lo tanto Pedrin tuvo que aprender muchas cosas nuevas o aprender nuevas cosas. Hoy podemos decir que ya ha hecho muy bien. Le encanta dar paseos juntos y ya camina bastante bien en la correa (siempre que no haya grandes distracciones) y se puede notar que es un pequeño tipo inteligente que realmente disfruta aprender nuevas cosas con la guía adecuada y luego puede aplicar lo que ha aprendido. Pero por supuesto, cosas como esa definitivamente se descuidan aquí en el refugio. Su pasión absoluta son las pelotas - Pedrin simplemente no puede ver nada más y casi no se puede detener. Pero siempre de manera muy amable. Sin embargo, actualmente estamos trabajando para que se centre en otras cosas. Pedrin ama el ejercicio y la actividad y realmente necesita personas que disfruten de esto y que hagan mucho con él. Por supuesto, debe y quiere ser miembro completo de la familia y los niños que ya entienden a los perros no son ningún problema en absoluto. Sin embargo, deberían ya poder comportarse de manera amigable con los perros. Pedrin definitivamente no es solo un perro de ciudad para nosotros - debe estar permitido vivir lo más cerca de la naturaleza posible y preferiblemente con un jardín. Los gatos no deben estar en su nuevo hogar. Debe aprender gradualmente a interactuar con otros perros, ya que ha vivido exclusivamente con su amigo Rusty durante los últimos años y no ha tenido mucho contacto con otros perros. Es un perro realmente great y inteligente con mucho potencial y realmente esperamos encontrar pronto a las personas adecuadas para él.

He has been at our shelter in Calvià for over three months now, our six-year-old male German shepherd. In December he was handed over to us together with his dog buddy Rusty (for whom we quickly found a great permanent foster home on the island) because his family had left the island. Pedrin is a very friendly and sweet male dog who hasn’t really experienced much in his life. He spent most of his time on a finca, but with a family and children. Unfortunately, there were no long walks or joint activities, so Pedrin had to learn a lot of new things or learn new things. Today we can say that he has already done really well. He loves going for walks together and already walks quite well on the lead (as long as there are no major distractions) and you can tell that he’s a really smart little guy who really enjoys learning new things under the right guidance and can then put what he’s learned into practice. But of course, things like that are definitely neglected here at the shelter. His absolute passion is balls – Pedrin really can’t see anything else and can hardly be stopped. But always in a very friendly way. However, we are currently working on getting him to focus on other things. Pedrin loves exercise and activity and he really needs people who enjoy this and who do a lot with him. Of course, he should and wants to be a full member of the family and children who already understand dogs are no problem at all. However, they should already be able to behave in a dog-friendly manner. Pedrin is definitely not just a city dog for us – he should be allowed to live as close to nature as possible and preferably with a garden. Cats should not be in his new home. He needs to gradually learn how to interact with other dogs, as he has lived exclusively with his buddy Rusty for the last few years and hasn’t really had much contact with other dogs. He is a really great and clever dog with lots of potential and we really hope that we will find the right people for him very soon.
