Adottare Pedrin

E' stato al nostro rifugio a Calvià da più di tre mesi, il nostro maschio di pastore tedesco di sei anni. A dicembre è stato consegnato a noi insieme al suo amico cane Rusty (per il quale abbiamo trovato rapidamente un ottimo famiglia di accoglienza permanente sull'isola) perché la sua famiglia aveva lasciato l'isola. Pedrin è un maschio molto amichevole e dolce che non ha realmente vissuto molto nella sua vita. Ha trascorso la maggior parte del tempo in una finca, ma con una famiglia e bambini. Purtroppo non c'erano lunghe passeggiate o attività condivise, quindi Pedrin doveva imparare molte cose nuove o riscoprire cose nuove. Oggi possiamo dire che si è comportato davvero bene. Adora andare in passeggiata insieme e già cammina abbastanza bene al guinzaglio (a condizione che non ci siano grandi distrazioni) e si capisce che è un piccolo uomo veramente intelligente che ama imparare cose nuove con la giusta guida e poi mettere in pratica ciò che ha imparato. Tuttavia, ovviamente, queste cose sono sicuramente trascurate qui nel rifugio. La sua passione assoluta sono i palloni - Pedrin non riesce a vedere nient'altro e fatica a fermarsi. Ma sempre in modo molto amichevole. Tuttavia, al momento stiamo cercando di farlo concentrare su altre cose. Pedrin ama l'esercizio e l'attività e ha bisogno di persone che ne approfittino e facciano tanto con lui. Ovviamente deve e vuole essere un membro completo della famiglia e i bambini che già capiscono i cani non rappresentano alcun problema. Tuttavia, devono già essere in grado di comportarsi in maniera amichevole verso i cani. Pedrin non è certamente solo un cane da città per noi - dovrebbe poter vivere il più vicino possibile alla natura e preferibilmente con un giardino. I gatti non dovrebbero esserci nella sua nuova casa. Deve imparare gradualmente come interagire con altri cani, poiché negli ultimi anni ha convissuto esclusivamente con il suo amico Rusty e non ha avuto molta esperienza con altri cani. È un cane veramente grande e intelligente con tante potenzialità e speriamo davvero di trovare presto le persone giuste per lui.

He has been at our shelter in Calvià for over three months now, our six-year-old male German shepherd. In December he was handed over to us together with his dog buddy Rusty (for whom we quickly found a great permanent foster home on the island) because his family had left the island. Pedrin is a very friendly and sweet male dog who hasn’t really experienced much in his life. He spent most of his time on a finca, but with a family and children. Unfortunately, there were no long walks or joint activities, so Pedrin had to learn a lot of new things or learn new things. Today we can say that he has already done really well. He loves going for walks together and already walks quite well on the lead (as long as there are no major distractions) and you can tell that he’s a really smart little guy who really enjoys learning new things under the right guidance and can then put what he’s learned into practice. But of course, things like that are definitely neglected here at the shelter. His absolute passion is balls – Pedrin really can’t see anything else and can hardly be stopped. But always in a very friendly way. However, we are currently working on getting him to focus on other things. Pedrin loves exercise and activity and he really needs people who enjoy this and who do a lot with him. Of course, he should and wants to be a full member of the family and children who already understand dogs are no problem at all. However, they should already be able to behave in a dog-friendly manner. Pedrin is definitely not just a city dog for us – he should be allowed to live as close to nature as possible and preferably with a garden. Cats should not be in his new home. He needs to gradually learn how to interact with other dogs, as he has lived exclusively with his buddy Rusty for the last few years and hasn’t really had much contact with other dogs. He is a really great and clever dog with lots of potential and we really hope that we will find the right people for him very soon.
