Reet é uma menina feliz que veio até nós de um criador e está começando a mostrar sua verdadeira personalidade brilhante enquanto se adapta. Ela adoraria encontrar um lar ativo onde possa continuar construindo sua confiança e desfrutando da vida. Quando ela chegou, Reet estava um pouco desconfiada, mas sua natureza doce e curiosa sempre esteve presente por baixo. Desde então, ela realmente começou a sair da casca e está mostrando ser uma menina corajosa, curiosa e com uma personalidade maior que a vida que ilumina o dia das pessoas ao seu redor. Ela tem se encontrado com novos cães e pessoas e ganhando confiança enquanto explora novas áreas da vida no resgate. Embora ainda possa ser um pouco nervosa inicialmente quando abordada, ela está aprendendo a confiar cada dia mais e agora está muito mais aberta em suas interações com pessoas e outros cães no quintal. Ela também já caminha confiantemente na coleira e realmente está aproveitando seu tempo fora, mostrando uma bela passada e crescendo em autoconfiança. Ela já demonstrou disposição para enfrentar novos desafios, como subir um obstáculo do qual inicialmente tinha medo, com um pouco de incentivo (e motivação com comida, como se espera de um Corgi!). Reet ainda se beneficiaria de um ambiente doméstico calmo e tranquilo, onde haja um cão residente amável e confiante para ajudá-la a guiar enquanto ela continua construindo sua confiança. Como ela nunca viveu em um lar antes, ela precisará de adotantes pacientes e compreensivos para apoiá-la no treinamento para fazer xixi no lugar certo, caminhar na coleira no ambiente doméstico e todos os outros fundamentos da vida em casa. Ela ainda não está totalmente confortável com manipulação e pode ainda estar um pouco insegura às vezes, mas ela está melhorando todos os dias e, com tempo, paciência e muitas experiências positivas, ela deve continuar florescendo. Reet está atualmente sendo tratada para uma infecção no ouvido. Com sua crescente confiança, natureza divertida e vontade de explorar, Reet está se tornando um cãozinho animado e envolvente que fará um ótimo companheiro em um lar adequado. Reet has come to us from a breeder to find her forever home. When she first arrived she was a little worried and quite overwhelmed, but soon started to settle in. Although wary at first, it was clear there was a sweet and curious little Beagle waiting to emerge. During her time at the rescue, Reet gradually began to grow in confidence and show more of her true personality. She proved to be a bright, inquisitive girl with a larger-than-life personality and a real enthusiasm for life. She enjoyed meeting other dogs, exploring new areas, and learning about the world around her. With encouragement (and the promise of a tasty treat!), she even tackled challenges she was initially unsure of. Her confidence on the lead also improved greatly, and she soon began to enjoy her walks and adventures around the rescue. Reet has now moved into a foster home, where she continues to make lovely progress. She has settled in well and is showing herself to be a busy, active little dog who loves to investigate everything around her. One thing that has remained consistent throughout her journey is her love of food, and she is more than happy to accept treats from anyone willing to share them! Toilet training is going very well, and she has been enjoying regular walks outside too. The main area where Reet still needs support is learning to trust human touch. While she is becoming increasingly confident in many aspects of daily life, being handled still worries her and she will often move away from hands. She has only recently arrived in foster and is being allowed to settle at her own pace, with plenty of patience and understanding, but the next step is to introduce her to more bonding activities and getting her more used to being handled. Reet will be looking for a calm and understanding home with patient adopters who are prepared to continue building her confidence and helping her discover how wonderful her new life can be. She will need another kind and confident resident dog in her new home to reassure her and take her under their wing. Helping a dog like Reet is what makes fostering (and adopting!) so rewarding.
