We found Shayla când era doar un cățeluș mic, împreună cu mama ei și frații ei. Erau supuși unor abuzuri grozave din partea localnicilor, iar, din păcate, unul dintre cățeluși fusese deja ucis. Mama era foarte agresivă la început, căci încerca să își protejeze puii, dar odată ce i-am pus lesa, a fost ca și cum ar fi știut că ne poate avea încredere că o vom ajuta. Shayla se află încă la adăpost în ziua de azi, împreună cu 2 dintre frații ei și o soră, cu care împarte un țarc. Mama ei și ceilalți frați au fost adoptați. Shayla este precaută față de necunoscuți și își ia timp să aibă încredere în oameni, dar odată ce o face, este foarte recompensator.

We found Shayla when she was only a tiny puppy along with her mother and siblings. They were being horribly abused by locals and sadly one of the puppies had already been killed. The mother was very aggressive at first as she was trying to protect her babies but once we put the lead on her it was like she knew she could trust us to help. Shayla is still at the shelter today with 2 of her brothers and a sister who she shares a pen with. Her mum and other siblings were adopted. Shayla is wary of strangers and takes her time to trust people but once she does it is very rewarding.
